        Some may consider 2 years of local manufacturer warranty to be worth $280. I know I'd rather pay that extra $280 to get that instead of dealing with grey imports that only offer 1 year of third party insurance. More so if i'm going on a holiday any time soon.

        Edit: And why did I open my mouth? I just realised it was JV….

  Sydney ppl can get it from $2385 with local warranty.
  Put my pre-order today in a shop just off Anzac Bridge.
  This D600 will definitely be my walk around camera :)

  I hardly consider a camera with… a what is it, 2100 USD RRP? to be a bargain sold in australia for 2300+
  talk about a gouging!

  im sure the 280 dollar difference would cover a couple trips back to the US for a repair…(although the place above has a centre in sydney!)
