"Do you enjoy photographing remarkable places when you are travelling around the Australian countryside? Do you want to share these photos with a wider audience?

Then you could be honoured in the Australian Country magazine Photography Competition, established to celebrate photography that captures the essence of our beautiful country.

This competition is all about receiving recognition for your photography and there is plenty to be won!

• All entrants will receive a free 6-month subscription to Australian Country magazine – so enter now!
• Up to 6 finalists will be featured in a Special Photo Essay in Australian Country magazine [No longer available. Entries for this part of the prize needed to be received by 24 August]
• The overall winner will receive The Australian Country Photographer of the Year Grand Trophy and wide editorial coverage

And, select entrants will receive an obligation-free introduction to the Art Director of Paper Pocket, producers of the largest Australiana calendar and stationery range, to showcase your work for possible collaborations.

There are 7 suggested categories that you can enter under:

• Country Vistas (landscapes, sunrises, sunsets)
• Farm Life (properties, animals, homes)
• Country Culture (towns, events, lifestyle, gatherings)
• Face of Country (people, families and personalities)
• Country Homes (exteriors, homesteads, interiors, gardens)
• The Recovered Country (regeneration after bushfires and other challenges)
• A Walk in Nature (flora, foliage, landscapes, gardens)

Entry is open to anyone and FREE.

Guidelines:

• Enter a single image or a portfolio of up to 20 images in one or more of the 7 categories.
• We accept jpg, jpeg, png and tiff images. Maximum size accepted 10 MB.
• Images in each category will be assessed on their own merits.
• The Grand Trophy is for a portfolio of work i.e., a series of images that demonstrates a high standard of visual storytelling. Those in the running for the Grand Trophy will be featured as finalists in Australian Country magazine progressively throughout the competition.
• Winners Announced in Australian Country Issue 27.1 (on-sale from January 2024)"
