  • ….. i just bought a laptop 2 days ago…

    • +12

      congrats!

Bright side: still better than someone who bought 2 laptops a day ago

    • +2

Cashrewards and Shopback do these 13-15% cashbacks for Lenovo literally every few weeks, so unless you slid down the birth canal since the last promo, not sure what your excuse is!

    • This 15% CB deal was last week as well.

  • Put my order through this morning. Any ideas how long it takes for tracking to show up?

    • +1

once the Order has been processed, took a day or 2 for me

    • It depends what you ordered — mine took 16 days from order to shipping notification as it's presumably being made to order in China.

      • Mine took 30+ days last time because Lenovo reject because order date and invoice dates didn't match, due to their own tardiness….

  • Does anyone know if you get chat to do 'a better deal' - can you still get the cashback?

    • -1

No you will not get the Cashrewards

Purchases using any type of discount which lowers price advertised on the Merchant site, including but not limited to student edu codes, employee discounts, student discounts and price-matching

      • But the current 'SPRING' Coupon will allow me to get cashback?

        • +1

Yes. Lenovo generated codes is fine, but negotiated prices with chat is not.

          • @whorishmouth: I tried negotiating - 4 laptops, 4 monitors and all I got back was the original web prices. That was a so-called rep who "would track my order etc". Yeah right.

Basically I just ordered at website prices and got the 15% cashback as per normal - never had an issue with Lenovo on that score. I actually have a dedicated browser for cashbacks just in case, i.e. no plug-ins, adblockers or vpns etc.

I usually wait fo rthe AMEX cashback deals and combine it with these cashrewards/shopback(+shopback challenge deals) deals. Usually, around black friday during november ish.

Been doing that for about three consective years already. I keep a looked for DELL as well.

    • Yes you will

  • Any good Legion deals?

    • have a look ?

    • +6

      82WMCTO1WWAU2 - 7745HX 16gb 1tb 4070 500 nits comes to $2132 with cashback - pretty good. Extra $59 for 32gb.

      • +1

yep got mine delivered recently from the 13% deal, so slightly more expensive but very happy with it. haven't put it through its paces in Starfield yet but it's a beautiful laptop to use.

      • the 4060 version is cheaper if you don’t need the gpu

A bit clunky/heavy and had to uninstall stuff to enable turbo boost on the 7840hs version (lol) now I got a new problem it’s spiking to 1.5v/5ghz seems unsafe

Otherwise solid laptop cooling seems excellent

      • Thanks for pointing that out - ordered one with the extra 32gb :)

  • How hard is to cancel the order from Lenovo?

    • Very easy if it has a long lead time. I cancelled a 10% cashback to reorder with 15% the next week but I ordered a Legion with a one month lead.

They have a button to cancel but it didn't work for me so I messaged a rep.

You'll also need to have double the cash ready to re order as the pre auth will take a while to disappear.

  • bring back Levono mega stuff up and give $200 credits to everyone lol

  • +1

NOTE that this is ELIGIBLE for LenovoPro, check before ordering which one has a better deal on what you want if you have access to LenovoPro

  • really wanted this to happen about 2 days ago when I was looking at great deals on Yoga 6 and other cheap-ish laptops with good screens but lack of good CB deterred me

now is a good time lol but I already bought a fully decked 14" MetaBox for $1k yesterday so not in the market anymore

  • Using Lenovo rewards would still be worth it right…. Edit: wow, the reward project is crap lol

  • Yoga 7 looks incredible for the money, especially after cashback. Even their extended warranty + free battery replacement options aren't too expensive (extended warranty not normally something I'd go for, but if it dies in 2 years and 364 days time it'll be easier dealing with Lenovo than shaking a copy of the ACL around): https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/p/laptops/yoga/yoga-2-in-1-series/yoga-7-gen-8-(14-inch-amd)/82ymcto1wwau4

    • +1

yep it's one of the options I was looking at couple days back. +$100 gets you an OLED panel, at this price + CB it's a steal

      • Can anyone comment if the PRO 7 version is meaningfully better apart from 3050?
The speakers on the 7 are terrible and hinges widely reported to break.

        • to be honest with you, when it comes to Lenovo, I wouldn't buy anything other than Legion 5 and higher, or ThinkPad or ThinkBook.

IdeaPad 5 Pro was not bad from experience, but I felt this was not a great design. IdeaPad 5 Pro is a great value for money with high res panels and latest AMD CPU's

but like I said in terms of product design I would stick to the ThinkPads and ThinkBooks and Legions

          • +1

@shabaka: Thanks for the heads up.
I'd still like to hear from someone who's been hands on with the Yoga 7 gen 8 and Yoga 7 Pro gen 8.

    • Does the 7735U have the 680M graphics?

  • Is ideapad a good laptop? Particularly slim 5i. Im
In a market for a everyday use laptop, non gaming

    • t series if you plan to keep it for more than a year

  • This makes the $8,999.00 Legion 9 affordable! I didn't even know Legion 9 was a thing now.

    • Starting price $7019. Just had a look at the specs….1200nits screen should burn retinas easily. Lovely machine.

  • Anyone know if the 10% sign up discount make you ineligible for cash back?

    • better of going to chat for deal

      • Chat offered me $25 discount on a laptop last week! They are taking the piss I think

        • +1

That is piss poor, you HAVE to argue, I got like $500 off + 2 year warranty, and then I told him, im 'rethinking' and will only buy it if he gives me the same price with an additional camera IR addon, and he did it.

  • Does anyone know if this works for Lenovo NZ?

  • Yayyyyy finally ordered my Yoga Pro 9i 14"!!

    • Nice one! I'm trying to decide between the Yoga and the Legion Slim 7i. Have you done much research on the Yoga? What are you using it for primarily?

      • I've had my previous yoga for 8 years so i just kept with the same brand. More then happy with it. Size! mini led screen will make movies look amazing! Nice rtx 4060 for a game here and there for me the perfect package

        • It's a great laptop, congrats on the purchase.

        • The mini-LED screen is reported to only work as expected in HDR mode. i.e. in SDR mode, all pixels are always lit and the perceived contrast is reduced, like a normal LCD. Even in SDR mode, it still gets very bright.

  • expired already? trashrewards special.

    • +1

      it was until 11:59pm
dont worry, it will come around again

      • I was just kidding. I never buy Lenovo unless there's a 14+ percent cashback on CR

      • Quick question I'm hoping you can answer. I have only used Cashrewards for smaller purchases. This time around I'm looking at about $450 for the Legion I just bought.

I've read some stories that this cashback apps aren't always paying out. If I've received tracking already is that a good sign that I'll get money?
