No personal experience other than unpacking and checking them out. Pretty good quality though. I'm a big fan of Rjays stuff. I ride an SMC 690 which means my luggage options are pretty much NIL.
I've taken a look at your bike on Google images and it looks like they might sit a wee bit too close to your exhaust. If you can flick through a measurement from the top tip of your exhaust up to the top of the pillion seat that would be great. If I know how much space you have there I can better determine if these will fit.
If you're in Melbourne you can swing by and try them on your bike first.
Right o, there is a generous 400mm on either side (sv1000 with twin exhausts). What do ya reckon?
I've seen pics of givi hard panniers on the sv, so I'm hoping these soft ones will fit too. Do you know if the top fabric is adjustable for width, to suit different size tail sections?
I will have to get back to you with those measurements.
Any update on the panniers OP?
Did the price just go up by $20?? I'm pretty sure they were $80 when I asked about them. :/
Hi Mate. Just getting to office emails now. There is another set that is 69.95 and there is this set that is 99.95. Price hasn't changed.
Allow about 30cms from the top of the pillion seat to the top of your exhaust to ensure they will clear so I think your 40cm will be fine. The top fabric is a hard textile shell and does not adjust. They do expand out if you unzip the sides though.
Our free shipping offer is over but if you email me [email protected] and make reference to this thread I'll still honor it as your possible order was pending some answers.
Hmm I must have remembered wrongly then.. Nw email sent. Thanks for the post, a pity it didn't take off quite as well.
Would you happen to have any personal experience with these - http://www.thirdgear.com.au/products/Rjays-Sports-Saddlebags…
Or if they will fit well on an sv1000?
