i love 8bitdos controller's I pretty much use them for all my raspberry pi retropi setups. Highly recommend.
This is an xbox controller that doesn't support the xinput standard. It only supports the older legacy directinput standard.
What this means is that on android device this controller will only work correctly for xcloud, for all other games you will only get partial support. In my experience games couldn't figure out if the triggers or the right stick should control the in game camera.
On pc it's even worse. Most games these days don't even bother with directinput support. The only way you are going to get it working is if you install an xinput emulator like x360ce and even then it will only work plugged in, forget about bluetooth.

These do NOT work on an actual Xbox, only streaming apps. Big poo poo missed opportunity.

Yeah, but apparently the clips fit differently for the different controllers. I went for the clip because I think the xbox controller will be more comfortable too.
If you wanna use it on PC or other devices, apparently you can pair it with the 8Bitdo Wireless Bluetooth USB Adapter 2 ($26 in newcastle, $31 posted)…

Xbox wireless controller stack has heavy drm/ licensing cost. Thats why you only see wireless on 3rd party controller around $200.
Just a tip for those wanting to use it with phone+clip, you can reverse the pins so the phone is directly over the controller. Should help with weight distribution.
For whats its worth. Received this and my s23 ultra with 360 full cover case fits (just barely), am enjoying remote/cloud play of my xbox ultimate on my daily commute.
Was looking for controllers as some xbox remotr play needs it (no touch support) and razer ones are expensive/s23 ultra w/ cases being unsuitable for them.
ONLY for Android. A receiver (sold separately) is needed for windows connection. IOS support is non exist.
