You seem to ask this seriously. As if you think this is a list, as smartass commenters here have noted, for some alien spammers.
It is symbolic. It is an 'engagement' campaign. Putting your name to it demonstrates your support and interest for some of humankind's greatest scientific and intellectual endeavours.
It shows that you can still have a sense of wonder and awe, that not everything in this world (and outside it) is bogged down in cynicism and nastiness.
I feel that the amazing things that NASA do, with extrememly limited resources, represent the very best of humanity, worthy aspirations and ideals, and deserve admiration and support. And if it costs me getting an email a month or whatever, I am quite happy to pay that price.
