  • this or 4.2 pairs of porta pros

    • I get what you're saying but you couldn't get two devices further from each other in function

  • Curious to know how the multipoint works on this.

I am yet to find any earbud that does multipoint as well as the Sennheiser MB660 (over ear) for example.

I would like a pair of buds that can do the following:
    1. Connect to at least 2 devices (ideally, 4 but I doubt these exist).
    2. Configurable touch/button option for play/pause, volume, answering calls etc.
    3. Sensors to pause sound when they're taken off my ears.
    4. Any of the buds can be used independently (not both or the left one only)
    5. An app would be nice but not a deal breaker.
    6. Can connect to a PC, Mac, Android and IOS

The issues I have with the ones I tried are:
    - mainly cannot be connected simultaneously.
    - some don't have the play/pause sensor
    - The ones that allow the individual buds to be used don't have multi-pairing. So, there is a lot of unpairing and re-pairing.
    - The notifications actually block the sound coming out the call/music to notify me about another incoming call, battery warning, pairing with other devices etc. The sound does not overlap but it actually blocks the sound to notify me about other activities (this is the main issue I have with the Microsoft Headphones).

The best headset I have that does most of what I want is the MB660. It does have some feature issues but it's better than many others I have used

The MB 660 can remember 5-10 devices.
It also connects simultaneously to 2 days
Notifications are perfect. They don't stop the sound/call or any of that.

When I am on a call on one device, and get a call on the other (or listening to something), the notification for the call overlaps the active sound simultaneously (it does not block the sound that I am listening to, to notify me about the call from the other device).
All other notifications work in the same way (max volume, battery low, etc). These notifications happen without blocking the sound that is playing from any of the device (which is the biggest problem I have with the Microsoft Headphone).

If anyone can recommend a pair of buds than can do these, I would be incredibly grateful.

    • think the sony WF-100XM4 does what you want

      connects 2 devices
can configure both buds for a single and long tap option
sensor stops play when i take them out
i've used one bud when the other was flat
      app works pretty well
woprks with windows and android well.

      • Thanks Sydboy007
When a colleague tested the WF-100XM4 with IOS, the connection was unstable. On Windows for example, it had a few issues working with Zoom/S4B/Teams.
We ended up returning them because the connection was unstable and the buttons were not that user-friendly with Windows/Mac devices.

  • how the heck did they have these listed at such a low price? as i understand, they are a fairly new product
