"1080p Full HD resolution supported" = not native 1080p
And they don't list the actual resolution either.
If it's FullHD, then why use the supported language.
Pay a little more and get a proper 1080p projector. They can be had for $130, and will do a good job.
Could just be a bad translation.. it states 1080p in the info.. not sure why you would downvote on a guess that it isnt
Not a guess.
If your projector is a true 1080p, you don't have to say it supports 1080p.
Having to qualify that it's supported, means it isn't true 1080p.
However, please feel free to spend your hard-earned to try and prove us all wrong …
Where does it show a lower resolution? I've seen many 1080p monitors that state they support FULL HD on the box.
On the listing it shows a 2023 NATIVE 1080 model for $261…
It doesn't say 1080 native for this $75 model
Where does it show a lower resolution?
It doesn't. It only says 1080p supported. Doesn't mention native resolution at all.
Most projectors that use this supported nonsense usually have the native listed.
In the same way as a B&W TV "supported" a colour signal.
I just checked the next model up.. it states 1080p native but 4k supported.. so there is a high chance this could be 720p scaled up to 1080p.. i wouldnt bet my life on it. 50/50 its a gamble
It's cheap but anything less than 1080p is really hard to recommend even for just cartoons.
Multiple 1 star reviews saying it starts smoking….
I have this. Connected to a Chromecast 4K, the Chromecast says it's displaying at 1080p/60.
Also note that the footprint base is smaller (if you are sitting on a smaller table). You will also notice the fan noise if there's no other noise in the room
Finally, this is not the lowest price… I bought this last week at $60
camelcamel shows cheapest is $95 how did you get for $60??
Camel pricing does not take into account coupons. It will scrape the base price, but any coupon that you can clip that further reduces that base price will not be picked up by the price scraper.
the Chromecast says it's displaying at 1080p/60.
That doesn't mean that it's displaying at that. If you think it does, I have a 2TB USB flash drive I can sell you for $30!!
Would you do $29.95 ?
This is Ozb after all….Hmmm …
That 5c could by me … nothing of use, so sure. How'll you be paying for that?
@photonbuddy: JB Hi Fi gift cards ?
@TerryJustTerry: Sorry mate … Have had bad experiences with taking this form of payment.
You're not a scammer are you 🤣
@photonbuddy: hmmmm google play cards ?
I have
thousandshundredsahh i mean a couple laying around from past business ventures100% not a scammer I work for Mlcrosoft !
@TerryJustTerry: I use iOS 😏 Google is evil 😂
@photonbuddy: Fudge, some pre loved postage stamps ?
@TerryJustTerry: 🤣 Only if they are Christmas approved 😁
@photonbuddy: Wtf how did you know they said "happy holidays"….
are you watching ….
"happy holidays"
Sorry … I'm not one of those latte-sipping lefties that believes we shouldn't offend those that don't do Christmas by calling it a holiday 😣
"happy holidays" are not Christmas approved in my book 🤣
@photonbuddy: Hmmm, 9 and a half Eneloop batteries?
@TerryJustTerry: Perfect! I have a little toy that requires half Eneloop, but haven't been able to find one anywhere! Where did you buy this unicorn battery?
@photonbuddy: At last !
I bought a 10 pack, then had a cat that was a bit too curious… now I have 9 and a half !
@TerryJustTerry: Oh … they're damaged goods?
I don't mind used, but, as you can imagine, I'm really wary of damaged goods …
@photonbuddy: No no, the cat in question was curious but also considerate, she managed to seal the battery up pretty decently - looks similar to this.
@TerryJustTerry: So that's where I can buy my batteries for my toy!!
Did your cat maul the others, or was 1 enough to entertain her?
@photonbuddy: okay fine i admit i got the 24 pack, but i sitll have 9 and a half good ones left over !
@TerryJustTerry: I hope the naughty cat got an Eneloop sized jolt from being naughty!
So … how do you want to send payment?
@photonbuddy: She got 7 jolts actually, then she learned how to properly disect them and remold them (hense the half one being good quality). Luckily she has 9 lives !
ill bring them to the next Ozb meetup ?
@TerryJustTerry: Well … I've had many enquiries on this unit. While I have managed to secure enough for all those enquiries, I'll have to look a bit harder if we have to wait.
I have located a box of 4tb units, but they'd be $39.95, which might be outside your budget.
I don't need to "think it does", I'm telling it as how it is, you don't have to accept what I say. Besides I never said it's 1080 native
I don't expect something less than $100 to be great, so long as it does the job…
I don't need to "think it does", I'm telling it as how it is,
I believe the Chromecast is telling you it's displaying at 1080p/60. What I'm saying is that just like you can buy a 2TB flash drive that tells you it's 2TB, doesn't mean it actually is 2TB
I got this, bought it back in May for like $80~, it's native display is like 720p. I have mine mounted at an angle at around 3m from the wall, and it displays like a 120 inch image. Watched 1080p movies on it, and anime, and it seems pretty fine for like $70/$80. Speakers seems fine, but I use headphones anyways. For the price you get what you pay for.
This home cinema projector supports 1080p built in dual audio speakers
Proof that it's 1080p… audio…
"1080p Full HD resolution supported" = not native 1080p
