  • For some reason it showed the discount at checkout but when you pay with the card it revert back to full price. Not sure what going on….?

    • Same happened to me so I cancelled my order. Placed it again and have a screen shot of the order. When my email comes through it's higher in price and also on my account. They've also charged higher on my paypal account. The item I'm purchasing isn't on offer this week so the old price was showing. I'll contact them when I see what they're charging again and tell them I have photographs of the order that I placed and see what they say, otherwise I'll be refunding it straight away.

      • Well I had a right battle on my hands. Tried chat, they told me to email the images which I did. Reply back sorry you missed out. Replied did you look at the photographs, replied back sorry you missed out. Called them again to no avail. So off hubby went to refund it and the guy asked why so he told them. I sent hubby the photos to show him. He called them up and he got nowhere, he told them they were being ridiculous, so he said leave it to me I'll fix it up which he did. Refund given back to our paypal account.

    • I got the 20% discount, but lost the "Pick 3 for $X", "Pick 2 for $Y" discounts. Their system is a dog's breakfast.
      Same as you, the invoiced price is higher than showing when I clicked "pay".

    I want the job of deciding which spirits are listed on coles online vs liquorland vs first choice, vintage cellars, and then figuring out different prices for everything and which discounts are offered when.

    On second thoughts, I'd rather stand behind an elephant with a shovel.

  • Don't bother with Coles anymore. Cancelled orders last minute, missing items, inflated prices

    • missing items are the best on these liquor orders, they usually refund them at the full price.

      Cancelled and inflated prices though I agree with. Only handy for a handful of sale items.

    • Answer my own question, trying to place a second order again today.
      - using same card and details = something went wrong
      - different card and same details = something went wrong
      - paypal and same details = something went wrong
      - complete new account and same card = something went wrong
      - different card and different account = something went wrong
      - paypal and different account = something went wrong

      At this point not sure if they have super sophisticated tracking to stop you buying twice or their system is just broken.

      • Try changing pickup slot. That worked for me after getting same errors. Not sure why.

        • I think liquor pick up has to be from 12pm onwards as they normally pick the orders early and the liquor shop isn't open to pick earlier.

    Tried again this morning, still failing. Used live chat to contact support. They did "something" in the back end and worked first time.
    Original card and original details.

    No idea what but all sorted now and was able to place a second order. :D

      so they just deduct 89.05 less 67 ie just paying $20.05 for the monkey shoulder lol….

    If you can find an expensive drop that is usually out of stock (check your local Liquorland pickup on website), then you can consistently get $50 free in groceries because they will cancel the alcohol but give you the full discount.

        This trick only works when the alcohol discount deals are on because for whatever reason, the coles website is not synced up with the Liquorland inventory. You cant do this consistently with other grocery items.

            @CyberMurning: No problem, at my local coles I use the $300 bottle of Dom, but you might need to figure out what works at your local.

              • @CyberMurning: Correct. You likely wont get the discount with Delivery since they might be able to pool the stock from somewhere.

                • @random2555: You can if you buy out of the cities. I built a nice collection of $70 spirits by ordering $250+ of NA beers and a spirit, less 20% ($50) and less $20 (by code). I had free delivery trucks bringing a single bottle of gin or scotch for a week until someone rang me and politely asked that I stop doing it.
