If wireless isn't important, I think these represent a better deal at only $40 (plus whatever delivery amazon does)

Thanks for this! Saved me some $$

Playing without a wire is so much nicer, not sure why you'd tether yourself.

      • +4

If you are playing on a couch I agree. If playing on a PC sitting at a desk, I like the reliability of a cord and not having to worry about a battery.

      • You can get a 3m long cable (or longer if needed), and it will not bother you.

  • hope they will have different colors on sale

    No recharge battery

    • +10

Get some Eneloops/ Ikea Ladda batteries in your life.

    • -4

100% correct they make you buy the charge pack sperately because microsoft thinks xbox users like buying AA batteries still for a controller like in the 80s. I think Luddite's should be expelled from society because they stop technological advancement.

      • +3

Isn't it an advantage that the controller doesn't have a sealed battery which will fail in a couple of years? This isn't a feature you should want.

        Single charge lasts several weeks.

        • +1

Battery technology has come along way i have 10 year old ps3 controllers still holding about 4 hours charge and haven’t fail yet. They can still do the replacement of battery pack, but they really should include it instead of charging u extra for it.

  • yeah I use the blue one with the official microsoft recharging pack. works great playing games on my tesla no issues at all. The battery pack last a long time too.

recent studies show that using console controllers to drive vehicles may lead to inconveniences of various scale

      • -2

thats good because I am not using it to drive the vechicle all Teslas have built in games you can play.

        • recent studies also show that playing games while driving vehicles may lead to rapid increase in your insurance premiums

          • -2

@shabaka: thats good because I don't drive the car while playing games.

  • +2

it needs to come with windows wireless adaptor at this price

    • yeah if you want good latency yep you need the wifi usb dongle with the controller for PC.

      • Not my experience, I've seen issues reported by people using various laptops, I've had zero problems on an X570 motherboard with built in wifi/Bluetooth

        • +1

plug in a Microsoft Xbox controller dongle, and see the difference its almost the same as being wired. You will not get this over Bluetooth ever.

  • -1

This doesn't support Bluetooth classic, means you can't pair this with your tesla. Friend tried with his model 3 and no luck. Want able to sell it to him

    • +1

get the new tesla update 2023.26.7 it supports all bluetooth controllers

      • +1

Gd luck with your controller, we tried and failed on that version. Done my research. Only supports controllers that support Bluetooth classic. This version of controller is not supported. Only elite version works

        Down vote doesn't help

        • +2

yep pretty sure they are down voting because they dont' want to talk about connecting it to a tesla. But I have a solution I use to connect it to my telsa model 3 I use the Mayflash Magic-NS Wireless Controller Adapter for Nintendo Switch you can get them from amazon just connect them into your glovebox usb port with a usb hub so you can still use sentry mode. you can buy them on amazon.

  • far out these are a rip off, no battery included even at that price? those awful dpads, I think i'll try the other powerA wired one.

  • +1

Ah yes, the world’s loudest game controller.
I do like its ergonomics, but I try not to use it when other human beings are within 50 meters.

  • How long before these start drifting? An years worth of use with 1hr/day? Sorry new to controllers.

    • +2

my xbox one controllers last me years (2-3 hours a day)

I used to be a ps fan but xbox controllers had me converted.

    • +2

It could last you a month. It could be six months. It could last you years.

The Pulse Red controller I bought from Big W’s eBay store 11 months ago has a faulty right stick. It started about five weeks ago.

I use it more than three hours a day, playing a range of genres, including a LOT of Gears 5 where I need the right stick to aim.

    • +1

My white Xbox controller just bit the dust after 13 months of usage, about 5-6 hours of gameplay a week. Same as @iBuzz7S, faulty right stick, randomly begins to drift north. Disassembled and cleaned, no luck.

  • From my experiences, regarding connecting these controllers for PC XGP gaming, you'd better buy a 2nd gen XBOX controller USB adaptor for a stable connection. Some can be very cheap via ebay.

  • Robot White and Carbon Black back again at $69.95 on Amazon

  • Harvey Norman=$74 for dongle in black color
