  • Add "Plug Type: 140W EU Plug" or "Plug Type: EU and black cable" to the cart for the cheapest price

This charger was previously popular last time and while not the cheapest price by a couple of dollars it's still worth it considering you're getting a fast multiport charger with a 100W USB-C to USB-C cable for a low price.

The charger comes with an EU plug, but it's using a Figure 8 cable so you can swap it over for an AU figure 8 cable if you have a spare. Otherwise they can be picked up pretty cheap locally anyway.

Wrong specs? There's no mention of PPS on the product page, nor on the photos of the specs from one of the reviews.

No electrical safety marks, only found FCC, CE and ROHS in review pics.

To whoever negged my comment, pls reply with your rebuttal or else your negging seems to be a tactic to cover up obvious concerns. I’ll keep bringing up the safety certification issue until a proper justification is given: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/14130992/redir

      • Haha you think a Lencent and Toocki rep are just going to rock up and reply?

Interesting and all in favour of testing. But I just checked that database page for several things in the vicinity of my desk and none of them were in it.. is it really a comprehensive source?

        • It's not comprehensive. The manufacturers will typically (not always) bother with extra safety certification like SAA for Australia if they intend on selling within that country. With this being sold from China they have no legal obligation to obtain local certification for each country.

Some charger manufacturers have opted to get the UL safety tick. Prior to USB Power Delivery this was a requirement for all Qualcomm Quick Chargers.

          • @Clear: Agreed that the ETL/UL is not applicable for all devices. However, China also has their safety CCC mark which Anker obtained for this GaNPrime 735 (at 1:00).
There are several labs and authorities certify electrical devices but at least one safety mark must be there. The combo of FCC, EC and ROHS doesn’t vouch for electrical safety despite its popularity on online retailers.

        • No it’s only for ETL labelled devices, you need corresponding database for each mark. Those are public links I know so far:
          - ETL: https://ramuk.intertekconnect.com/WebClients/ITS/DLP/products.nsf/$$Search?OpenForm
          - TUV: https://www.tuvsud.com/en/services/product-certification/ps-…
          - Australian RCM: https://equipment.erac.gov.au/Public/
          - UL requires account, instructions here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmAf0slG-UY

          • @Newgod: I wonder what kind of testing they do for double insulated devices like this? Are there standard densities and thicknesses for casings etc?

  • I've had this a few weeks now - it's a ripper and the swappable mains cord is very useful.

    • It is not especially lightweight though! I'm going to take it travelling anyway though as it should save taking along several different chargers & overseas plug adapters.

  • Remarkable

  • Hey guys - this appears to be available again. The price gone down slightly as well but there is no add to cart button only buy now button. Is this okay to buy from?
