Individual plan only. $12.99/month after. Terms and conditions apply. Open only to users who haven't already tried Premium. Offer ends 9/12/23.

NOTE: Not sure if 9/12/23 it's 9th of December or 12th of September. I have marked the deal as 9th of December as that's my understanding.

Another three months of not paying for Spotify

I had Apple Music, then three months of Spotify, then Amazon Music, now back to Spotify and the day this expires, I go on an overseas trip for 3 weeks (hoping I can join something over there). Hoping not to pay for music until 2024 at least. Currently have 3 more weeks in December to fill.

      • +1

I've done something very similar. My free Amazon Music runs out next month.

      • Out of curiosity, which streaming service do u prefer?

        • +1

I prefer Spotify personally. It seems a bit more intuitive. It seems to be able to add songs to my already existing playlist which I would've included myself if I'd remembered.

Android users don’t ever pay for Spotify premium ;)

Revolut free digital debit cards + Gmail altered email address.

You can reuse an existing Gmail address by adding a +1 etc to it, for example [email protected], [email protected].

Spotify should treat it as a new email, Gmail should treat it as two separate emails and you will recieve confirmation emails to the original email. Google also ignores decimals in email addresses.

Alternatively, you can use an email forwarder service like Firefox Relay, but websites are more likely to prohibit that method.

If you have a lengthy playlist on an old account, you could either make it public or use a transfer service, I feel that my recommendations get stale and I personally like having a fresh start.

Finally, it's still fairly easy to block adverts on Spotify for Windows & Android, if you don't want to start new accounts.

    • used PayPal instead and cancelled the PayPal automatic payment agreement after setup was completed.

      • @bigbadboogieman just signed up and in the accounts page. Where do you cancel paypal auto payment? Cheers

        • on the PayPal app under wallet —> Automatic payments

I just sell spots in my Turkish family account for free access..

    • It's not really free if you sell it.

      • I'm in the green, so better than free.

    • Hi mate you still have a spot for 1?

  • Doesn't seem to work for me. Anyone tried the trial successfully?

Never used Spotify, signed up brand new account, put PayPal payment details, $0.01 taken. Said email confirmation will be sent, nothing received.

On web, upon login account section says "Premium Individual". Your next bill is for $12.99 on 16/11/23. But the web interface says "Explore Premium". as though it is on free tier.

But when using IOS app, it says it's on "Spotify Free - Current Plan", "you can't upgrade to Permiun in the app".

    • I think reset your app and browser cache/history.

  • Used gift visa cards and revolute works like wonders= unlimited months!

    • what about all the songs you've already liked etc

  • Im have premium from previous Microsoft offer expiring sept 25. This offer expires sept 12( assuming its US who advertised using Mm/dd/yyy format). Just in time

    • No. It finishes on the 9th of Dec 2023 - 114 days left. Look again.

      • so is 9th of December the last day you can register for the free 3 months
        or
do they stop giving out 3 month subscriptions after that date.

  • I don't know who Spotify is billing but my free trial that should have expired is still going. Signed up through Telstra and now Telstra doesn't even show it list under the subscriptions. Anyone else?

Can't remember the last time I paid for this either was a free trial or cracked

  • +2

yeah still on my 6 month free spotify, that I created a new account for. I will never pay for spotify but I will always use there free trials :D

  • Offer ends 9/12/23.

Is that 9th of December or 12th of September?

    • Fair Question. I read it as 9th of December. Hopefully that's the case.

      • I received an email offering two months free.

Says in the email offer ends 12 September 2023 unfortunately

  • +1

Anyone else really dislike places that you already subscribe to giving free stuff to new users but not existing subscribers? It's like a punishment for your loyalty.

    • No it isn't, it's just a way to get new users onboard. You probably got a free trial too.

      • -1

Eh, obviously I know why they do it. But you know what I'm saying.

  • +1

create a new account now, another one in November, another one just before the deal finishes, then you're set until March 2024

  • +1

Created a new account. Sucks having to transfer your playlists and teach the algorithm though.

Took 20mins of my valuable work time this morning.

  • seems like they store paypal and check based on that :( .. created new email and account however recognized when used paypal that I used previously.. dont want to give Credit card as I may forget to cancel after 3 months.. any other ideas?

  • Thanks. Cancelled my personal Premium subscription, made a new Spotify account with a different email (via the link in OP post).

Used the same PayPal as my personal account, seems to work fine.

I then immediately cancelled as when you do that it makes it clear your Premium runs out at the end of your three months (eg 17/11/23 for me).

    • +1

Not sure why my previously used Paypal doesnt work.. with new email and old paypal it says you used this offer before. seems like revoult is the only way out here for me

  • How does one transfer existing playlist from current account to a new one ? Is there an easy way instead of manually adding the songs?

  • Thanks OP. Sign up with a new email for another 3mths.

  • +1

Pro tip, use a zero balance prepaid credit card, like the ones that were recently 10% off (plus fee), assuming you've spent all the funds…. Works like a charm.

  • +1

I just used an existing account which i hadn't used an ages and it gave me the free 3 months. So it's not just for brand new accounts but accounts which have been dormant for a very long time.

    • Thank you, that’s good to know.

  • I’ve tried 3 different email addresses and it says I’ve used the free trial before. My assumption is they know this by my CC details right?

    • +1

I used a digital virtual Revolut card which worked. I recommend looking into Revolut

  • Thanks for this, just cancelled the 2person plan as I'm now separated (and hence poor) so this is good timing.

  • Used paypal as payment, will pick up some visa gift cards for the next promo like this.
