That's really the least of your worries when sending data to this site. I've reached out multiple times through various methods (contact form, email, ozb message) to report some fairly significant security issues with their site and they don't seem to care. I've told them multiple times that their customers' accounts can easily be taken over, and the only reply I've received is that they "have it dept. to maintence". Subsequent attempts to contact them have been ignored.

@ICStation Like I said previously, let me know the appropriate way to report these and I'll send you full details of the issues so you can get them fixed.

I wrote a few more sentences that I then deleted because I didn't want to damage their reputation but these are valid concerns @pscac001. The site also makes an unrestricted cookie with your email address and actually uses that data, I'd hate to think how insecure their server side code is.

EDIT: It's a pity because they actually have some interesting stuff.

Yeah, I'm less worried about reputation since at this point I think they are bringing it on themselves, but I am of two minds about commenting about these issues, on the one hand they clearly don't care, so maybe I should stop wasting my time and let them continue being insecure, but at the same time they keep posting on OzB and it feels like a disservice to the community to sit back and let people use the site, knowing these issues continue to exist and doing nothing to warn them so they can make an informed decision.

Given that these threads don't tend to get much attention and generally just have people posting links to the same items sold cheaper elsewhere maybe it's not worth crowing about.

I know they read these posts since they respond to other people, I just don't get the mentality behind refusing to engage with someone who is trying to help you fix a problem in your business.

It's a shame they didn't move the on off switch a bit higher, but I guess they had to keep it safe for kids.
