Must have for baby rooms. We use it with Tapo smart switch to schedule the oil heater on an off during the night and maintain the temperature between 16-18C

    • -1

Why? Doesn't your oil heater have an adjustable thermostat?

      • +2

It does. I find it easy to set it to max and run it 50 min per cycle. Works better for us.

        • +2

Not sure why you go downvoted, but we did the same. The thermostat on it was finicky ( Delongi one)

    • It works with Homekit?

      • It’s got its own app. Never tried with homekit.

Edit: we have the wifi version. Inkbird is better at this price as noted in other comments below.

In Russia, people used to leave their babies outside during the night to climatize

      • In Russia they used to kill the gays too.
They still do, but they used to too.

        What’s your point?

      • It's windy in Melbourne right now, 3-15 degrees, and I often see how Australians carried their babies almost naked, while they themselves dressed like in Siberia.

    • How did you link up Govee and Tapo?

      • Manually. Looked at the graph on govee. Created 1 hr on off smarts in Tapo app. And flicked them on before going to bed based on how cold or warm the night would be.

Sounds like only an OCD type would buy one of these to monitor a baby room.

In fact I’d question the safety of placing a device emitting Bluetooth radiation in the vicinity of a baby.

Have to feel sorry for such babies…

What’s your point?. Sun emits way more radiation than microwave or Bluetooth.

        • You don't leave your baby out in the sun either though, to be fair

          • @Wolfenstein98k: 2-3 hours at a picnic is not a stretch. That’s way more radiation than Bluetooth.
You don’t have to stand in the sunlight.

Inkbird WiFi model also a similar price 🤙

  • Thanks OP

    • $49 - is this the best price?

      • It was on special for 16 bucks.

  • I have this one for hiking/camping. Works really well. Great price! I paid $16.06 back in April.

    • What do use it for in hiking?

      • I only really hike/camp in the colder/winter months, so it's mainly to see how low the temps drop overnight and make sure my gear is keeping me warm i.e. if I'm putting additional layers while sleeping, then I may need to upgrade my gear or bring warmer clothes etc. that sort of thing
