Got lucky as I am going overseas on Friday!

Bugger, i just paid $25 all up about 3 hours ago :|

    • Same :(

      • +1

        Same…
Found that I can still cancel the order, just cancel and got instant confirmation

        • Thanks. Was able to cancel last order and bought this one instead. Last one bought about three hours ago. Got cancellation confirmation immediately with refund pending(3 working days)

    • +1

Don't feel so bad - I paid $38 (on special down from ~$80-90) on Amazon a month or so ago

      • I'm sure there were some people who purchased it even back at $90 lol

  • Went through all the deals and comments and cant find any mention of wattages under multi output loads. I suppose it would be the same as any other that 65W is max between all (5?) outputs.

  • Caved in, thanks OP.

Btw - is this compatible with Switch?

  • Thanks

    $21.86 for me :&

    • Same

    • Same but still ordered one.

Better go on the migoreng diet for 2 days to recoup the costs :P

    • You got ripped off big time buddy /s

  • Nice I grabbed three this covers us for our holiday :D

  • +1

Are there any reviews of these with the power output measured?

  • Grabbed one. Thanks Clear.

    "【APPROVED SAFETY】
FCC, CE and ROHS approved with safety guarantee. Equipped with integrated double 10A fuse for overload protection and safety valve, it will protect people from injury if they directly touch live parts on the socket"

None of these "approvals" mean jack. The FCC mark indicates the device meets the US FCC requirements for electromagnetic radiation. The CE mark indicates the device meets the high safety, health, and environmental protection requirements in the EU. No information is provided so you can verify this. ROHS indicates is is manufactured using lead free solder as well as other substances such as Mercury and Cadmium. Give the place of manufacture and the price, it is highly unlikely any of these marks are legit.

A fuse isn't going to protect you from an electric shock. Maybe the safety valve, whatever that is might.

I really wonder why people are so eager to drop coin on something as dubious as this while downvoting deals for other devices.

Probably because it's a GaN (supposedly) and not a Heymix.

    • +5

Believe GaN is the semiconductor technology and not the brand
      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gallium_nitride

      • +1

        They mean (1) it's a GaN charger, and (2) it's not Heymix.

        • You can get Heymix GaN.

          • @Clear: Yes?

            • +3

@bio: There's a heap of dumb people around at the moment who are convinced GaN is another brand like Heymix.

    • +3

If the brothel that I'm staying at in Pattaya burns down cause of this. Idc

    • +3

Like the other deal, any purchasers should be aware of this.
They're slapping acronyms on it that mean jack in this case because it has no approvals for its main function.

    • +3

People want the cheapest product with complete disregard for their own safety. Maybe they enjoy high risk for a miniscule amount of money saved.

I rather peace of mind and stay away from cheap products like this for my own safety and sanity. Cheap for a reason when it comes to electronics.

    • +2

Can you recommend a reputable proven alternative? @gibbo_au

$100 adaptor: WTF? $100 for an adaptor? This is ozbargain not ozupperclass!
$50 adaptor: RRP is definitely not a bargain!
$20 adaptor: Kinda sus. You need to buy something reliable!
$0 adaptor: Got one. Thanks op.

    • Thanks mate, totally agreed as per my comment. I hope this concern will be raised in every adapter/charger deal without validated QC to remind us how easy it is to sell dodgy electrical accessories in Australia. Much harder to find anything sold in Europe without TUV marks or US without UL. RCM mark at least must be imposed here but heaps sold on Amazon without one.

  • dimensions are too WIDE for my single socket wall plate …
    :(
Won't go flush cos one side is pressing on top of the wall switch.

    • swap the outlet over, easy peasy

      • wish i knew how.. i dont wanna die yet :\

  • +1

How is it different to this, which is $5 cheaper:
    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005687957816.html?spm=a2…

    • Looks like the same charger. Although this one is showing more expensive for me. $14.43 USD vs $12.20 before GST.

    • I had the same question, showing as US $9.43 / AU$15.34 for me, looks to be the same item

    • That's because it's not cheaper unless you're a new user. Normal price for existing members is US $15.87 inc GST.

  • +1

    is this safe to use?

FCC, CE and ROHS approved with safety guarantee. —> is this enough? any experienced electrician can share some input ? Thanks

  • Paid appx $24 in last deal

  • Once i get to the cart it says that the item cant be shipped to Aus? How do I fix this?

  • Can't seem to add to the cart? Everytime I click Buy Now it directs me to the white version…

    • +1

I experienced similar issues with Cashrewards tracking turned on - price also jumped up to AU$66+… Seems like this is a thing as per this other comment

      • Correct re cashback. I'm exploiting a glitch to get a lower price and part of that means no cashback. Unless you're a new user this works out to be cheaper than the normal price with cashback.

  • I don't have shop back/cashrewards though, not sure why this is occuring for me 🤷🤦🏻

All good, ordered from the other link 😄

  • I get a page not found error

    • +1

If you have a VPN that'll likely be the reason why.

      • Yeah opened it from work laptop and got that error. Bought one from using phone browser

  • Bought 1, hope it don't burnt down the hotel that I stay in.

  • +2

can this be used in North Korea?

    • +1

      Do they have stable electricity?

  • +2

Do we think the one that Amazon sells for $50+ is safer because it is expensive and also from Amazon??

    • +2

If it's more expensive it must be better.

  • Not a joke but, does this work in China? Going to Beijing and Shanghai in early '24, what kind of plugs to they have?

    • Yes it does

    • +3

China's plugs are like Australia's, but they're upside down. It's why adaptors made for china primarily can still be shipped here sometimes, but they'll just plug into the wall upside down.

      • Pins are thinner too. Less metal makes it cheaper to make which is important with the population of the country

    • China runs the same plug as Australia

    • China runs both the similar type to ours that Alzori described and a similar US style that you'll see on some outlets. It's good to have a US style adapter just in case.

  • +3

I used to use these types of travel adaptors but now I find it better to use a local power adaptor (mostly for trips to Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines) and then plug in a 4x gang GPO Aussie power board. Then I can plug in my laptop and fast charging USB power outlet to charge phone, dive camera, power bank etc.

    • I do this too but still have to bring an adapter so this will replace my adapter haha. I moved from a switchboard to a baseus 3 gang gan powerboard but a lot smaller

    • wow i wanna go thailand & philo

  • Any say by someone bought it previously?

  • for iphone users, iphone pro max can only take up to 29w charging rate maximum anyway.

  • Black one is now 66Aud but white showing as 21aud. Are they both same just different colors? I might grab white if thats the case

    • White is identical.

  • why does it have US$13.57 … it got charged in AUD no conversion require

    • New user discount.

    • Probably because you are a new user?

      • not new user got charged $23.36AUD for white one no conversion fees but I don't understand why OP put $13.57US

are you saying new users get charged in USD?

        • The deal has been expired for nearly an hour now.

  • Black OOS White US $14.51

  • GaN Charger ,

    • You forgot to upvote the deal. GaN is good technology and better than Silicon.

It would be hilarious if you didn't know what gallium nitride is.

      • no in fact that was very deliberate ,

        • So what's the issue? Please don't tell me you think a semiconductor is a brand like Heymix. That would be seriously embarrassing and the second time today.

          • @Clear: HEYMIX superior product. UL/ETL/CE/FCC/SAA certification

Let's see chinese GaN charger certification ,

            • +4

@oceanbeer: Ogod you're actually serious. GaN has nothing to do with Heymix whatsoever.

Do you boycott water completely? You know it drowns people right?

              • @Clear: Water doesnt set people on fire like chinese GaN charger ,

                • +3

@oceanbeer: Why aren't you boycotting non-GaN chargers? Max temperature of silicon is 150 degrees and GaN is 600 degrees. Far less likely to catch fire.

  • Yeah I kind of wish I hadn't purchased this, I'm not going to use it anytime soon.

  • Thanks OP
    Bought two.
Any type c to c cable deal to pair with this?

  • +1

Hmmm I'm keen to get this for my Jap travel but so many nay sayers… Is it really that dodgy/dangerous?

    • +4

The AU plug isn't compliant due to not having insulated pins but since everyone should be using this overseas it's not a problem. The US style plug will be fine for Japan.

      Ignore the Heymix/GaN trolls.

      • Wait I'm using this in my house cause it has so many outs. What is the problem if no insulated pins?
