That was my bad, forgot to add it back in.
Thanks. It was there originally but the bots or mods and title got automatically updated and removed it.
Also lowest historical price based on camelcamelcamel apparently. Fairly new model, could go lower.
Anyway, it’s an alternative to the Sabrents if you want one from a reputable brand.
Or Aliexpress if you're prepared to wait, quite a bit cheaper for a 1TB Samsung PM991a - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005797218895.html
No warranty with aliexpress though
Is this suitable for steam deck? Any suggestions for 2 Tb version?
cute
If only there was a decent M.2 NVMe 2230 USB-C enclosure for this.
There are Heaps on aliexpress
Like smoothcactus said plenty on aliexpress, define what you are exactly after…? Size, Features or speed?
You can find 1tb Western Digital SN740s for $90 frequently at normal price on AliExpress for anyone that needs the form factor. Or $210 for 2tb normally.
They all use micron tlc chips, you’re not getting anything better by going with these.
I bought this for the warranty. Anything happens, Amazon refunds almost no questions asked
You do realise that $150 instead of $90 means that you've paid $60 for the warranty ?
I don’t think $60 to $110 is worth the warranty, especially since you’re buying restorable brands. Id almost even argue WD is more reputable than Corsair in this case given the abysmal issues with the MP600 line.
How often are people claiming warranty on SSDS? How often are ssds even failing?
Even if one in every three drives is dying, it still works out cheaper to buy the no warranty drives - three of them costs less than two of the warrantied units !
In reality the failure rates are probably closer to 1%… a 50% price premium to cover a 1% failure rate is an epic maths fail 😂
1TB in title pls
