  • They chose Saturday because nobody goes to Melb Central on the weekend…

    • Best time to watch movies at Hoyts - less queuing :)

  • For those in Sydney: I also got an email, it's for the 1st anniversary of the Mad Mex Central Station (815 George St, Broadway NSW) store. It's $5 burritos, coronas, frozen margaritas 11am to 10pm on sat 8/09.

    • This deal isn't for Melbourne Central, it's for Central Station Sydney.

      Their response tweet:

      I have fixed the deal.

      • This deal isn't for Melbourne Central, it's for Central Station Sydney.

Doesn't change things much, if anything, it's quicker to fly to Sydney from Melbourne, than to catch a train to Melbourne Central from the suburbs…

      • Oops… blush

I obviously got a little too excited planning my weekend meal! I do love my burritos…

        • have you tried the Taco Truck that parks in the lane near Boost Juice…

i noticed it there the other day and there was a big queue… might have to try it soon…

The taco truck is run by the same guy who runs Beatbox Burger. They setup very close to my house which is great. Taco truck does soft tacos whereas they don't do burritos. While their tacos are good they are pricey and not as filled with stuff as Mad Mex.

The burgers on the other hand are great. Probably in the top 3 in Melbourne (Huxtaburger, Rockpool 1 & 2 for me).

        • thanx for the review… now time for lunch…

        • I don't even think I've seen that one before! I'll look more carefully the next time I'm there. But definitely going to try out Neils' suggestion of Beatbox Burger. According to their facebook page, they will be @ Lygon St tonight! I'll grab one after work!

  • I think it's just Sydney, the attached PDF refers to Mad Mex Sydney Central Station

  • Bugger, looks like it's going to be free subway for lunch. AGAIN.

i've got half a bucket of left over slurplee if you'd like… it's kind of melted though…

  • The Burrito I had there was quite nice. I wouldn't pay full price for one though.
