don't forget the carbon tax…
We should all be using rechargeables now anyway
not if you need 1.5V
What devices have you found that won't work with rechargables?
some radios…
LED torches…
some kids toys…Milk frother…
Cordless solder gun…
Some adult toys…hehe dirty
that was gold. lol
NiZN (Nickel Zinc) rechargeables are available on eBay and through Amazon. 1.6v.
I add my Casio CTK keyboard to devices that don't work with 1.2v cells.
Hmmm have you used the NiZN's at all? I've considered looking into 14500 AA rechargables but the voltage is just too high, would need some dummy batteries to put in as well otherwise I think I'd let all the blue smoke out of whatever I used them in.
I dabbled with recharding alkalines, it does work but they inevitably leak almost all of the time, even the purpose designed ones, Grandcell I think they were called. Hopeless things.
Unfortunately Aldi is a 40 minute return trip for me, Aus post is across the road. think I'll just buy them :P
Bunnings VARTA alkalines… about $8 for 30 batteries…
Don't like rechargables, pretty weak
But yes, we should all be on eneloops by now haha
Pfft…..Turnigy.
Theres no Aldi here in WA so it seems like a good deal. Will check my local post office today.
is there a Bunnings ???
I was only using Aldi as an example, there's probably others that sell bulk packs as well, maybe Bunnings or large-ish chains like that. I see the 30 packs at the Aldi checkouts all the time which is why I could remember them, not much else to do in the conga line other than stare at the impulse buys.
I think a pack of 30 carbon batteries is $5 from Aldi. If these were alkalines of some sort, it'd be decent, but being ordinary old carbon batteries it's nothing special. I can't comment on how the Aldi ones compare to the Eveready HD.
We should all be using rechargeables now anyway :)
