not sure at all that this applies here, but perhaps someone in the office needs to read the instructions. (?)
I remember discovering that someone thought a kettle was leaking and was faulty, but basically problem was between tap and kettle: they were overfilling it and it was boiling over.
Is a different effect but your machine might have been killed, rather than doing that itself….in this case, nespresso coffee subscription might be better for you.
Can you elaborate on what “machine killed itself” and “got the same problem” means? We have used L’or machines that came with these promos for the past few years and had no issues.
Have this machine from a similar deal, no problems after three years of use. The large pods are not much of a deal though. Hard to get and if available cost more than two normal sized pods. I just use a double shot of the normal sized pods.
Not sure if you're just unlucky or there's an element of user error.
I've had mine for over 3 years (used daily) and it's fine. The only issue i've had with it is it has difficulty piercing some pods (like the ones from Urban Brew for example)… it takes a LOT of force on the mechanism to close and properly pierce the pods, but it does still work.
I thought the milk frother died on me as I went to use it after many months of not using it, but I think there may have just been some gunk on the contact, I cleaned it and spun it around a few times and it seemed to only work in one particular spot, so maybe it's on its way out, or just needs to be used and cleaned more frequently. Who knows.
I know many take issue with pod coffee, and if you use just one pod, it often is a watery mess. Best to get ones that are meant for Lungo size coffee. I use one on Lungo, then pop in another pod and press Espresso then Ristretto to give it a bit of an extra kick and give me a full-size cuppa.
My Premium machine with the integrated milk frother (which I got in 2020) just died. Something shorted inside the machine causing it to blow the RCD safety switch every time it turns on.
I’ve had one for a few years now (the one with the milk frother on the side) and use it daily. No issues here other than it being near impossible to find the recommended descaler for it.
Great machine!
How much is the machine normally?
How much ‘extra’ are you paying per capsule versus the price at Woolies/Coles when they are on special?
TIA
Buyer beware on this machine - a few of us at work pooled funds on a similar deal to this recently, and the machine killed itself after 6 weeks of use. Made a warranty claim, they sent out a replacement unit, which has now got the same problem.
