    Store in title please

Not bad, but 5 packs on Panasonic and Energizer are $7 on eBay so this probs just normal price.

Unless these hold significantly more than the Panasonic and Energizer on eBay.

    • +20

Lots of fakes on eBay though

      • -1

and amazon…. Amazon is basically ebay these days of about 5 years ago, but you would hope the 'Energizer Store' are real ones.

      • Yeah fair, but with 99.9% eBay seller reviews surely they dont die straight away

Just got 25 for $24, CR2032 have a standard capacity so even if they fakes as long as they hold half the charge should be ok.

        • +4

Depending on your use it pays to get real ones. On my Bluetooth thermometers the difference is a couple months vs a full year of usage. I assume a Bluetooth device is on the higher end of power draw for a cr2032 though. Some devices there's no point spending more.

@ad62623: I generally get the Japanese made Maxell from eBay, and find they last a while. Maybe give them a go.
            https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/295180925100

          • @ad62623: Agreed. I used to exclusively use ebay cells. They work just fine, but in two of my applications, they were only good for a 8-10 weeks, whereas legit cells lasted a year or more!

A happy medium I've landed on was buying name brand stuff from the Reject shop. They used to have Varta ones in 2 packs. Those lasted ages. Unfortunately I don't know what they replaced them with after the mandatory child resistance packaging and labelling came into effect. I guess I'll find out when I need to replace my button cells.

        • In my experience Kmart / Target batteries have also lasted almost equally long

    • +4

Lots of fake and dead batteries on eBay. No thank you. I fell for it once, too good of a deal. Now I see why. Half price, but only 1/2 of the batteries work. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

      • +2

I've had the same problem on Amazon too, though.
I've ordered batteries that have been dead on arrival. No issue with getting a refund but it wasted time.

    • +4

Yeah I got these https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/303373994328 3 months ago to throw in my temp sensors, still reporting 100% in all 5 I installed.

    • +1

The last 5 I bought on ebay were only 3.65 for 5 Panasonic ones, and this is the 3rd time I have bought them and they are fine. I usually just buy the cheapest out of either Panasonic of Maxell, and havent had an issue in ages. These 4 might last a bit longer, but they aren't going to last more than twice as long

  • +1

it's this price for a while, I price matched at supercheap auto and use the free credit last time.

    • Did they ask you to show your prime subscription?
      Thanks

Can get generic four pack from kmart for $5

    • +4

Some generics as nothing more than toxic landfill.

      • lithium is not toxic. You are thinking of the old NiCd batteries, or lead.

Ikea used to sell 8-packs for $4. Anywhere else good, aside from ebay/aliexpress? I go through a ton of them, with IoT stuff.

        • +2

          lithium is not toxic.

Sounds great. But toxic chemicals are used to make the batteries. Lithium battery waste is a big problem in Australia according to the CSIRO. Large volumes are stored in warehouses and scrap yards because Australia has little capacity to process lithium battery waste.

    • 4 Pack at $2 shop for $2.99 -I had thought I was getting a bargain at Coles 4 pack $10.10, as the previous cheap shop had 1 in a pack for $2.99.

2 pack is $4 at kmart.

    $7.42 with S&S

Just bought 6 $6.99 Panasonic from eBay.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/364167036151

    • +5

Those would almost certainly be fakes FWIW. For most including me wouldn't really matter.

      • +1

I bought some Energizer from eBay before, so far seems OK.

Hope Panasonic the same, they are from Indonesia, maybe the reason why cheaper.

      • +1

I bought some cr2052 from eBay, they run out faster than expected, but not too concerned. They are selling half price on eBay with half life expectancy, usually wait for my $5 off $15 Ebay plus to buy them, so still better than paying $2 a pop

    • +4

i bought Panasonic coin batteries on ebay, it took me a while to realize why all my Philips hue remotes only lasted 3 months before batteries were depleted.
At first I thought the remotes were going bad but then it started happening to lots of remotes, finalize realized it was all the dud Panasonic batteries sourced from ebay.
Replaced them with Energizer on Amazon (make sure its directly from Amazon and not marketplace seller) and my remotes work for years before needing replacement.

I believe most batteries sold on ebay are non-genuine.

      • +1

Philips hue remotes only lasted 3 months before batteries were depleted

I have had the exact same experience with my car remotes. The Sony CR2032 (Made in Indonesia rather than Japan) - sourced from a eBay Seller (lots of positive ratings) only lasted about 3 months with very low usage.

        • My car remote (Nissan Proximity) last at least a year with my cheap Panasonic's from ebay, and that's before it starts warning me, I can easily get 18 months if I push it. For someone who hadn't had proximity remotes until this vehicle, it seemed like not a long time, but obviously power draw would be a lot longer than it used to be with he old button style only/non proximity ones

How long do your energisers last in the car remote and what brand remote is it?

          • @Jackson:

How long do your energisers last in the car remote and what brand remote is it?

The Energiser CR2032 before the (dodgy) Sony stock from eBay lasted longer than 3 years.

    • +5

These are not fakes. Security hologram says "genuine planasonik".

Literally bought these at this price two days ago. It seems to be the standard price.

Bought a 4-pack from Bunnings in January 2022, was $6.99.

Bought another 4-pack in November, price shoot up to $13.19.

Just ordered 4-pack on S&S for 10% off. Most Garmin sensors use CR2032, so handy to have spares.

Hmm, an 8-pack Duracell CR2032 at Bunnings is $18.98.

WHY THIS AND NOT SOME CHEAPER ONES FROM EBAY?
like half the price at 1 dollar ea

Only needing a few/small pack to replace for my carfob

    • +1

Likely to be fake or old, and won't hold much charge.

    • You need to clean up your own comment janitor.

But yeah I need someone with a Nissan Proximity key fob to tell me how long their enegizers last so I know if it's worth getting.

      • I have 4 Nissan Key fobs (two for each car)… You've made me think now, because I'm definitely replacing one of them every year or so conservatively every couple of years, I know my Pulsar is flashing the key led every now and then so it's getting low and i didn't change it last year.

Sorry I can't answer it precisely but I do know the ones I had from ebay didn't last long so I don't buy it from there anymore.

        • Well, that's similar enough to my ebay Panasonics that I last got 5 for 3.65, so no deal for me I guess

  • I ordered 2x 4 packs of these exact 2032's from Amazon on 20th June and they were $7.99 each.

  • Interestingly, IKEA has CR2032's in stock again, even though they don't appear on their web page.
I bought PLATTBOJ (pack of 8 CR2032's) at IKEA in Canberra on 14.7.2023 for $10.00. They were right next to their LADDA rechargeables.

I've been using them for ages and they are of good quality. The packet also has a "best before" date printed on it.

  • Already delivered, faster than going to the store.

Came in a rather large box, due to battery labelling compliance.

  • Do these have the bitter coating on them? Wondering if they're any good to put in an AirTag

    • Been really struggling to find any that work well with Airtags

    • She just keeps eating batteries. You know, like a little battery, like a circle battery, like a watch battery.

  • my ebay made in china buttons finally arrived exp.2027

our new car bought in 2019 came with panasonic made in indonesia
the driver display showed "low key battery" for a solid few months !
so after 4 YEARS one of the two car fobs has now carked/unresponsive

let's see how these chinese ones hold up and keeping the remaining 4x coinbatts in the car

  • Lucky i checked my stash - already had 2 packs lol

  • So I received my item today, but Amazon just sent me an email about incorrect pricing and that my order couldn't be fulfilled? They have cancelled my order and no charge taken, and as an apology give me $5 credit???

    • +1

Received the good, refunded and $5 credit :)

  • Received mine and only started to use it. Only to realised one only lasted a week. Changed it and my device immediately shows low battery. Not sure if I've received a bad batch
