    • Fine on pixel 6 for viewing and purchase

  • Can’t seem to create an account

    • can just subscribe to their newsletter, should give u the free shipping when u enter ur email during checkout

They have some really nice helmets cheers. Having compromised a helmet already it's a good time to get another.

  • Anyone have any experience with their bib shorts?

    • +1

its my first time too, but $76 for the Pure Bib Shorts after discount, why not? :D

      • Yep, picked up some bibs

  • -1

I don't snow anything, but coming from a motorcycle rider, that purple helmet/goggle setup looks LIT.

Heads up, my husband and I have poc helmets that were in storage from our last ski trip in 2018 prior to pandemic. Pulled them out just recently and the shell had done that thing that some plastics do where it’s all sticky, like really sticky over the whole thing. Spent at least an hour with double strength vinegar and a micro fibre to remove all the stickiness (glad it worked). I’m unsure how quickly it happened in storage, as had a baby in 2019 and didn’t ski that year and honestly hadn’t pulled the ski gear out in ages. Otherwise I’m very happy with the fit of the poc, but wouldn’t buy again. They were both ones with the matte finish, I reckon the gloss finish gear would be alright.

    • +2

Just a note, we stored our smith helmets (for skiing) for several years for a similar reason. Nothing happened to the helmets when we took the helmets to the slope again last year.

    • +1

I pulled out my pret helmet this year, also matte and found it sticky everywhere. I've had that for 9 years though. Need a new helmet but will probably give this a pass…

      • +1

Try the vinegar thing - it worked at treat. Took ages though.

        • +1

I'ma definitely give this a try the next time my actual road helmet spoiler gets this weirdness. Thanks.

          • +1

@WasBargain: I was surprised that vinegar was the thing that worked. Tried some other things first that didn’t and internet mentioned vinegar as one solution, tried it and it was the winner. Just sat out side with helmet on a towel dipping micro fibre cloth in vinegar (so I didn’t saturate the helmet parts I didn’t want smelling of vinegar) and working on it bit at a time and eventually it was done. Part vinegar, part elbow grease. Good thing to have in the arsenal for this, like you say ‘weirdness’.

            • @morse: I'ma definitely give this a go next time!

I only just cleaned my spoiler a week or two ago after a year or two past time I noticed it build up, especially having cats at home, randomy hairs like to stick to it too. I never really looked into the cause. But I did find a commercial packaged wipe that helped better than my normal go-to Coles wipes for around the house. Took a bit of force but it came off reasonabily easily once I applied the right pressure. Only problem is my spoiler is a little flimsy so I had to be careful..

    • +1

      Soft touch plastics, yuk lol.

    Very nice deal op :)

  • +1

excellent deal, finally can get on the POC helmet train

  • Might have bought the last 50L duffel, thanks OP!

  • Great deal. Unfortunately already bought a new helmet a couple months ago :(

  • +2

Code doesn't work on absolutely everything - eg some of the snow goggles. But seems to work on most. Thanks OP.

  • Website is terrible on Android

  • Amazing deal, thanks OP.

  • How to return the items? I can see free return in EU, but what's the story in AU? Can we return to the shop for free (i assume they have stores in Sydney?)? Want to order a helmet and a goggle, but dont know if the size will fit

    • it said 60 day return on checkout

      • saw that. i assume we need to pay the return postage.

          • @G-rig: find the return policy:
            https://au.pocsports.com/pages/returns

            Important information about returns:

Returned items must be as new and include all original tags and packaging
Customers need to send their return items to Sydney, Australia or Christchurch, New Zealand. We do not cover the cost of return postage for change of mind returns

            @G-rig
Do want to try first. My Smith helmet XL doesnt fit my head perfectly, and bought a cheap decathlon helmet a couple months ago which fit perfectly. But do want a good looking helmet of a good brand and good fit to completely replace my Smith which was their premier series when purchased.

  • +1

I've been using a POC helmet for a couple years mountain biking and it has been comfortable.

  • +3

Great deal! Remember that for sale items you’ll still get a discount, it’ll just be off the original RRP. If you have a cart with a mix of full-price and sale items, this won’t be obvious.

  • Thanks OP. I've used POC for many years, quality is fantastic and their helmets have saved me and family members on more than one occassion.

  • Great deal I make my wife, myself and 2 kids where helmets in the car when driving in case of an accident. It's time for an upgrade so just bought 4. Would strongly suggest others do the same, you get some funny looks but you have more chance of surviivng an accident.

    • +8

wearing helmets in a commuter vehicle? Thanks, but no. maybe just dont drive? it would be safer for you.

      • He isn't forcing you to wear one (unless you are his wife or kids).

There are studies that show it is a lot safer to wear a helmet in a car. I wouldn't wear one, but I can understand someone who is very risk adverse doing it.

        • You sound like I am the one who forces him to wear a helmet in car?

          • -1

            @aec: I don't think I do.

    • +4

should really go for the full F1 racing outfit, tech behind them is just amazing.

      • Really good idea

    • +1

I use and recommend a Nomex race suit too, particularly when I nip down to the corner shop for milk.

  • Would any of these ski goggles fit a pair of glasses underneath?

  • Damn…wish this came earlier. I like their knee pads and they do have sizes that fit bigger legs.

  • +3

Cheers OP, awesome deal! Didn't have any large Ventral Air Mips left in the colour I wanted, so I grabbed the non-air version. Those aero gains will make a huge difference haha.

  • Thankyou - was in the market for a ski helmet as mines 10 years old.

  • I was looking at a MTB helmet. I have a MTB bike but don't go off road a lot.
Thinking of the Kortal MIPS just for when I do go off-road.

  • Great deal, bought some gloves

  • Awesome deal. Thanks OP

  • How does everyone manage sizing for helmets. Obviously can't try them on but i don't to stuff around sending back / refund etc

    • +2

Measure your head with a tape measure. But shape is also important and hard to tell just from measuring. If you can go to a store that stocks the same brand. Some makes also do round/Asian fit, but not many.

    • Take a tape and measure the circumference of your head, then pick the helmet appropriate to your measurement.

      • Better to try on, heads are all different shapes.
Some helmets look pretty bad on as well.

Be prepared to return or exchange.

    • +2

I measured with a tape measure and found myself at about 58 1/2, which is just in between sizes for poc. I decided to size up.

      • +2

I measured at 59cm, which is either M or L.
I tried the M in-store and it was far too tight, whereas the L fit ok and it could be tightened even more if need be. Glad I was able to try before buying.

    • Helmets are tricky to buy online without first trying on, or previous experience.

In addition to size/circumference considerations, some helmets have an oval profile, while others are rounder.

I found that MIPS helmets are a little forgiving, due to the extra layer that helps to conform (not the intend of MIPS but a somewhat positive side effect).

    • Try a (MIPS) snow helmet in local store/decathlon, better than tape measure

    • For me I used Medium for my old BELL helmets, for POC Ventral I tried them on Ccache.cc in Melbourne CBD, I need to go Large since the temple area is a bit tighter.

  • Fantastic deal.

  • Do you know if there are any Asian fit goggles available with an additional layer of foam?

    • If you go the ones with MID, they are for smaller faces.

      • +1

Not necessary the face size. Need low nose bridge fit

  • Hmm was thinking about getting a pair of sunglasses for golf. Any suitable ones for that purpose?

    • -2

what is so special about golfing glasses and why can't you just look yourself? Be much easier

      • If you have no useful input, just move along. There is always one.

        • -3

Hey? It was a genuine question?

As above I offered some advice for someone who asked about smaller size goggles. If it is a speciality item then a couple of clicks away you will get an answer at a fraction of the time you will spend waiting for someone else to do it.

I know nothing about why golfing would need something special and nobody replied so it was a fair response. Sorry I ruffled your feathers.

And in all seriousness, what would be suitable for golf as compared to other types that are not suitable?

          • @slipperypete: You have just proved my point.

            • @keejoonc: I asked

what is so special about golfing glasses

didn't get a reply, just some whining

          • @slipperypete: Perhaps lenses that cut different wavelengths to optimise for grass/greens

            • -1

@impoze: thanks for the reply. I didn't find any Poc although Rudy project have some.

Use tinted ones for mountain biking as they improve contrast. Not being a golfer though, I couldn't see any advantage in that.

          • @slipperypete: Coward move lol
If it was a genuine question you wouldn't have added smart arse comments at the end. Or are you that naive to think people are dumb enough to fall for your pretty pathetic plea of innocence.

            • -1

@dji1111111: what? saying it would be much easier?

some people are easily triggered and get their feelings hurt

              • +1

@slipperypete: Continue putting on an act of innocence. I can smell a troll like you from a mile away.

                • -2

                  @dji1111111:

I can smell a troll like you from a mile away.

and I really thought I got away with it. you are so cool

  • Just bought an ebike, would this store be good to gear up on some gear for it? I'm thinking pants, maybe a tshirt… I want gloves and a helmet too but can't risk getting the wrong size

    • Depends, what kind of ebike and riding are you doing?

      • just travelling to work and shops/gym around my area. about a 50 minute ride to work

        • Yeah, it would be fine

  • Can anyone recommend a ski helmet from them? I’m lost with so many options and not sure what the differences are.

    • +4

I spent a good hour or two reviewing their options this morning. You can't go wrong with any of their helmets really.

One of the more prominent options is a helmet with MIPS. This will give you more protection from rotational force - some studies say up to 60% more protection, but they guarantee 10% for liability reasons.

With that being said, some helmets have other features like a reflective visibility strip, mfid where you can input your medical/emergency details for ski patrol to scan, and one helmet had a Bluetooth audio function. Another important feature could be air venting.

For the marginal price increase, especially with this 60% off voucher, you should at least go for a helmet with MIPS. From there, just choose whatever you find aesthetically pleasing.

Personally I chose their Levator Helmet, as I plan on wearing glasses underneath the visor. $316 down from $790

      • Can you wear glasses under their included lens? It doesn't appear to me it is OTG

        • Only one way to find out I guess. One of the reviewers mentioned they wore eyeglasses quite successfully.

      • Hey I nearly got this myself for same reason. I kind of got put off by people saying you look like an astronaut as it is so big. A friend has the Salomon version and he thinks it is the bees knees

      • I also spent an hour to go through their helmets. My first choice was also the levator, which I can afford and it looks cool. However, it’s not good enough. A few people reported this helmet caused fogging up issue. And the visor is not flush with the helmet. This levator is their first trial with helmet with a visor, I will give it a pass (probably). Buying a decent new helmet these days, MIPS is a must. Then some of their helmets have some features mainly for backcountry skiing, I believe if micsway is “lost with so many options”, s/he probably will not do backcountry skiing and may just stay on the green zone most of time if not all. So those helmets are out. Then again a couple of the helmets have the communication function (with additional bt accessories), I don’t think majority of skiers or snowboarders will really need it. So in the end there are not that many options.

For myself I will choose Obex MIPS ( may also order a levator too though).

        • I was leaning towards the Obex as well, but decided on the Levator as none of their goggles seem to be OTG. They don't claim the lev is otg either but I'm rolling the dice.

Brands like Salomon and Oakley definitely have more experience in the visor helm niche.

Honestly I had a very hard time finding additional reviews for the levator - nobody seems to be talking about it.

        • thanks, couldn't find any reviews on the Levator.

Was very close to buying it after looking at the Salomon version. A friend raves about this style.

Just curious why you got the Obex? I ordered the FORNIX MIPS POW. Kind of wondering whether to change my order. I would get the matching googles for fit if so

          • +1

@slipperypete: well, the major reason is i like the look of Obex more than Fornix :) Dont know the weight differene between these two helmets. Otherwise, weight is another major consideration for me. I also saw someone commented Fornix (Poc) runs smaller than a Smith. My XL Smith gives two pressure points. So I may order Obex WF and hope it will work. You ordered the fornix mips pow JJ?
What goggle did/will you order? Nothing, imo, looks really amazing, compared to Smith or Oakley's goggles. I may choose between Zonula and the ugly "frameless" Nexal.

            • +2

              @aec: Hey

I ordered the Fovea Clarity POW so I believe it should match up well with the helmet

Yeah, never thought Poc looks great but I do like their gear. I had a partial sponsorship with their mountain bike side and have grown to adapt to their 'oversized' look. Still a great price so can't really go wrong.
The season is looking a bit thin already and despite working in the snow fields I am still not sure whether I will get much value by the time this gear arrives so didn't want to go overboard

  • Great deal thanks OP. They make some very nice quality helmets. Got a new Snow + MTB to protrect my lid.

  • Does anyone know when this expires?

    • +8

      Buy First Think Later

  • Thanks OP, got a good price on 2 MTB helmets

  • can someone help me figure out which snow goggles I'd have to get to be able to get the clarity comp cat 1 night or low light lenses? ideally with clear or high VLT lenses over 50/60%? tia

  • Curious how you found this code so keep a look out for future deals

    • +4

OP stated: "Found this deal because I was trying to find POC Ventral Helmet but seemed to be sold out all over the internet, so decided to checkout POC website and use Coupert for the discount coupon."

  • thanks OP, got my son two new MTB helmets and myself some goggles, I own other POC gear and this is a sweet discount for premium gear!

  • +1

Wow, glad I checked in today.
I've been wanting a Ventral for a while, but could never justify the $350-400 price tag.

    Bought one instantly.
