Dyson V7 specs say up to 100 air watts an the V8 up to 115.
I have the V7 and its pretty good. Does the job. Basically I just run it on max all the time. Just enough battery to do my carpeted bedroom, tiled hall, lounge, family room and kitchen. Need a recharge to do the other 2 bedrooms.
Note to all, you can get a battery adaptor for models below v10 to use your 18v power tool battery pack in Dyson vacuum.
Great performance and use out of otherwise idle battery packs!
Do you know if the battery adapter for the V7 and V8 are the same or different?

Can you recharge the battery you used with the adaptor connected to the Dyson using the Dyson charger or do you remove the battery from the adaptor and charge it with the battery's own charger ?

You can get your own stand & mount for it from ebay
While not as good, you can still grab it for $319 with the free extension hose on the dyson website. Also seems to be $319 at a few other stores as well
Just watched a review, I think the suction power is a little bit stronger on v8
