wtf my mum went to the shop today and the guy at the counter said he never heard of this special?????
Serious? page 11 on their latest catalogue, I just spent over $200 on recharges an hour ago

Dude, there is every chance that he truly did not know - why did your mother buy it if she wasn't getting the special, and why didn't she tell him to look in the catalog?
For everyone else, I was going to post this earlier but I thought I would check first. I went into officeworks and asked if they priced matched the recharge voucher. The guy was very sure they did, so I mentioned K-Mart did 15% off. He told me he needed to speak to the manager, and came back a minute later and said they'll beat it. Not sure if EVERY Officeworks will do it, but it's good to try anyway.
yes, but at least the Kmart dude should've helped the lady to look it up. Where's customer service these days? customers alway has to suck it up with fault of businesses.
If you need the recharge money to boost enough flybuys to take their $20 gift-card offer from now til end of year, It's literally another 10% off, so OW isn't as cheap. But certainly good if you don't have flybuys :)
But mate, if someone walked in and said Oh this person said you have a 15% offer, whos to say where they saw it? So the K-Mart guy should then go get catalogs, look on their website, call up HQ and ask about offers, etc? The customer would have simply needed to say "it was in the catalog" and I'm sure the rep would have gone, "Ah, let me get one and have a look".
Profit margin on the phone cards are ridiculously small. Good find!
