Lexar ARES RGB DDR5-6400 CL32 32GB RAM Kit (2x16GB) $169 + Delivery @ BPC Tech

240

Was in the market for high speed and low CL for my AM5 build and came across these Lexar 6400MHZ CL32.
Comes in two colours, white and black:

Based on reviews from their 6000hz set it appears that Lexar ram is high quality and compete well with reputable brands such as G.Skill & Corsair.

If anyone has these already in their system please let us know how they perform!

Good looking RAM as well… Does say EXPO compatible but I don't think AMD supports anything higher than 6200mhz so AMD users beware you might need to set the primary timings manually.

    • 6000Mhz unless you want boot issues :).. Just like AM4 with a stable 3600Mhz

    • It'll probably work for the APUs….. when they finally come out.

  • Speed and timings suggests Hynix memory as well…

Paid $400 for my Corsair cl36 6200 end of last year man price has really dropped.

Does tweak nice though got it down to 30-38-38-30 plus Buildzoid’s tightened secondaries at 6000.

I too had issues getting it to run at rated 6200.

Voltage is 1.4v at advertised speed which is higher than the 1.35v of better kits .

Not sure if this kit is EXPO, I don't think it is.

On BPC website they have just cut and paste the picture descriptions info from the 6000 kit to their site.

Here is the link to the 5600/6000 kits - https://www.lexar.com/product/lexar-ares-rgb-ddr5-desktop-me…
(EXPO In the picture descriptions and specifications)

Here is the link to the 6400 kits - https://www.lexar.com/product/lexar-ares-rgb-ddr5-6400-deskt…
(EXPO is NOT in the picture descriptions and specifications)

Always double check the products website. Best get this kit for Intel builds.

  • Any DDR5 64GB Kit, cannot seem to find any decent price.

    • We will bring 64GB kit probably around Q4, currently I have no dates yet.

      • How do I get to the qvl for this RAM? I looked all over your website and in the compatibility section I could not find my motherboard in the list (msi z690 mag tomahawk wifi ddr5). I use a 13600k with crap ram and need an upgrade.

        • Sorry for the late reply buddy.
I will go check with the technical team and come back to you on this one.

          • @Chris Lexar ANZ: Thanks, I still haven't bought any memory yet so this could lead to a sale if I can find out its good to go ;)

            • @Tythefly86: Hi Tythefly86:

I have forward your enquiry to the team.
Due to this RAM was released less than a month ago, the QVL haven't update. you can find the 6000mhz model details but 6400 will still take some time.

However I can confirm to you this is 100% compatible with your system hardware, happy to put in writing and if there is compatibilty issue I can assist with full refund.

Alternatively, the laboratory already received our sample, so wait for a month or so, you should be able to find the updated compatibility list online.

              • @Chris Lexar ANZ: Thanks for your reply and help on this matter. I will have to think about it a little more but you do seem to have one of the best prices at this speed… Do you know what die this ram uses? Is it Hynix m or a-die? Samsung? Micron?

                • @Tythefly86: That I can't confirm, but we mostly use Samsung and Micron in the past.

However I truely have no idea, but even if I know I am not allowed to give more info than our website.

If you not in a rush don't worry, I might run a promotion in September or October for RAM.
Currently my efforts are on the SSDs (see our NM790 deals :D)

                  • @Chris Lexar ANZ: If I decide I can't wait or rather don't really want to, would you refund the ram if it doesn't run at it's rated xmp of 6400mt or were you just talking about refunding it if it doesn't work at all? 🤔

                    • @Tythefly86: if no fault found we can't RMA it, but I really suggest to talk to whoever you are going to buy from.
Retailers normally have opened box themselves for system build, you can take your machine to try it out before you pay.
