Special terms
Cashback is eligible for new Surfshark customers only.

Cashback is calculated and paid on the advertised cost of the plan only. It will not include any GST, taxes, credit card or PayPal surcharges.

The amount that tracks to your Cashrewards account may differ to the paid amount due to international exchange rates. Your initial payment is converted to USD, then converted back to AUD when reported to us. The advertised cashback rate is based on the reported amount, not the paid amount. Cashrewards has no control over this process.

Cashback is ineligible on the following:

Customers who have shopped at Surfshark previously.
Purchase of gift cards or use of gift cards for full or partial payment.
Purchases using coupon codes not listed on Cashrewards.
Items that are cancelled, returned, exchanged or refunded.
GST, other taxes and delivery fees.
Fraudulent transactions.
Purchases using any type of discount which lowers price advertised on the Merchant site, including but not limited to employee discounts, student discounts and price-matching.

    Price in the title

Hard to put a price on this one. USD and GST are variable depending on what credit card and country selected.

Dude it's cashback. The cashback rate is in the title.

  • Would existing Cashrewards customers create a new Surfshark account work for the cashback? I have previously used Surfshark via Cashrewards

    • Yup, worked fine for me when I did mine earlier this year. No issues at all.

  • My Surfshark account from 3 years ago just expired, I think I got 90something % back then too.
Anyone know if I create a new Surfshark account/email with the same Cashrewards or will it get rejected?

  • Its never 97% lawt time was 98% i got back 85aud only. And its their fix cash back.
But i paid around 100$ more

    • Many stores won’t pay cashback on the GST, so it’s very likely that. It’s noted in the conditions of this one that GST is excluded.

      • I know that :)
        Still 85 is wrong cashback

        • If you got the 24 month starter deal then $85 is correct. It’s $87 + gst = 95.79. So $85 cashback of $87 is about right

          • @SlappersOnly: My bank was charged 104$. Any how no complaints. Still not bad

  • Fml I just signed up yesterday

My NordVPN ran out last month. Get this or wait for another nord cashback?

    • +2

      I would wait for Nord.

  • There is also 90% CashBack for NordVPN for new customer at TopCashBack US not UK nor AU.

    • Link?

  • Hi,

Are you associated with Cashrewards or Surfshark or did you accidently associate yourself?

    Thanks,
    Richard

Surfshark gives me too many captcha on google. Nord is much better, almost never happens

    • Agreed. These days almost every Google search goes to a CAPTCHA using Surfshark and it drives me mad. I've been with Surfshark for years but am going to jump ship because of the time wasting and convoluted Google CAPTCHAs that are now constant even in "off peak" times when the Surshark servers should be processing fewer requests.

  • Hi RichardL,
Sorry I am not associated with Cashrewards or Surfshark, I am accidentally associate myself.😅

    • Thanks for confirming, I've removed your association.

If you need to cancel the subscription, make sure you watch it like a hawk. The cancelation magically reverses, and they blame you. They did refund me but it’s a painful experience and there are fees for international is some peoples cases. Firstly, you face a bot that prefers you do not cancel. Then it eventually cancels and reverses a week later. Then you see the transaction and wonder what happened. Then you go back to them and face a bot and get confused. Then you speak to them on chat, and they try to retain you, then blame you, then allow a cancellation after a bit of a hard sell!

    • Thanks for the heads-up. Looks like many have faced this issue.

      • Do you mean you have looked into it and found more evidence. I'd like to read about those experiences. I know its very common in subscription services like streaming. I found Surfshark to have a relartively good system, perhaps often experiemental and not really ready to drop some features, but otherwise sound. After this renewal scam experience, it would have to be the best of the best to go through the sales ripoff they do!
