Acer Aspire One N270 8.9" Netbook 8GB w/ Linux $350 (Cashback absorbed by shop?)

70

Confirmed and In Stock, they won't last long going @$350 maybe the Shop absorbed the cashback and pass it on directly to you?

  • are you able to install vista or xp to this?

    • With only 8GB SSD onboard, you'll need to install you own 1.8" HDD to get XP or Vista going.

    • tiny xp will fit

    • If you nlite your xp there will be plenty of space left for apps.

  • Note that page says the cashback is not available on these units?

  • Yeh it says cashback unavailable

    • Sorry keep updating the info, maybe the shop actually pass on the cashback immediately to you. Even better, you don't have to deal with Acer.

  • I heard that the SSD on these units are very slow compared with the ones on the eeePC, quite a shame really, but then I won't trust any machine that Acer makes as I've seen so many fail. Do we have people here who have used these units before?

  • www.zazz.com.au has the same netbook with 120gb of hdd & 1gb ram for $430 after cash back…

    • also comes with winXP

  • Does is say anywhere how much RAM it's packing? Acer site says up to 1GB, but megapc site doesn't specify…

  • Thanks - Needed a cheap uni laptop.

    • I'd buy it but I've already tied up funds with the Dell fiasco! God damn it!

  • Noslee,

Thanks for the followup and great post.

  • Price is now listed as $556.60.

  • I dont get it. You sent them an email at 1.41pm and got a reply at 1.19pm?

    • Different Timezone, Daylight saving etc..

  • Something seems fishy when the price goes up $206.60 in a day or 2.
