Has anyone got one of these or the AX3000 model which is also on sale? If so how good are they?
Normal performance and range is normal. Nothing super.
Which one is better?
AX5400
Or

I have the AX73 (tri-core) AX5400 which is pretty similar, while it is solid and reliable it is nothing to write home about.
I have had it for over a year and it does everything we need it to, including on occasion streaming in FHD to three devices simultaneously.
@camelthief: Thanks, we use alot more then 3 devices simultaneously.
I had AX3000, constant packet loss playing games on iPad for some reason. Switched over to ASUS and problem gone
Thanks, i think ill keep looking.
If you're looking for a solid router, I'd get ASUS. ASUS has better firmware support which patches bugs and vulnerabilities which is no.1 for internet safety.
tp-link isn't too great compare to this. eg this router's latest firmware Archer AX50(AU)_V1_220526 which was released 8th Oct 2022
@timliu1996: Agree.
ASUS are #1 for firmware updates.
Just in case, the usb port won't work for printer.
I have the ax5400 and it's been great . Previous tplink1600 was rebooting under heavy 4k streaming / downloading after upgrading to FTTP .
AX5400 doesn't have a pile of features 99% of people never use . Gets the job done without 30 antennas or RGB LEDs .
this one has now gone.
