  I moved to a 25 years old unit, looking for a good one with great suction as my old dyson v8 doesn't look will be good here, should i go for this one?

    One of the best vacuums IMO!!

    Yes it has bags, but bagless is a bit of a con IMO. Bags on these last a fair while and a bulk pack of bags on Ebay isn't that expensive. Bagless needs emptying more often and dust goes everywhere.

    The biggest advantage of this Miele is the suction is incredible - have to actually turn it down so it doesn't stick to the floor - and quiet. You can actually talk over this versus a Dyson which is so damn noisy and shrill.

    You can't go wrong with Miele C3.

  How long is the nozzle? Would you be able to do a short set of stairs without needing to lug the vacuum up the stairs as you go?

    Longer than most vacuums, but I'd say you'd have to at least move it half way up the stairs to get the top half done.
