  • The 10 for $100 win selection has some pretty good basics in there. Jumping on that for sure.

    • Which ones do u suggest?

      • +1

Yalumba Y Series is always a win, Rose and Viognier specifically (they are often $10 in muti buys though)
De Bortoli Prosecco and the rose Prosecco
        Deep Woods Harmony Rose
        Tyrrell's Verdelho

That's most of my order - going to top it up with some a Vermentino, a Nero D'Avola and that Cotes du Rhone

Thanks for the tips I also grabbed some River Terrace sav because of the high price and reviews.

Stock up now for the 1/8 bender

    • Buy now, drink at your leisure later?

      • Yes, that is fine. It was just a reminder.

And a good one at that.

Anyone looking for gifts, these are all near the bottom of their usual price range

23rd Street Gift Box gins 600ml $35 Delivery only
    Galway Pipe port 750ml $33.25
    The Botanist gin 700ml $77

Oh and for anyone who likes a very flavourful shiraz I can highly recommend the Wolf Blass Grey Label 2017 $28/26.60. Ready to drink now, may even improve if "cellared" for a year or two.

      2018
      * Wine vintages can vary when delivered or collected from your chosen Click & Collect store.

      • Image has 2017. Best to ring the store or clarify online I guess.

All the vintages from at least 2017 on are highly rated (and probably similar in taste) so probably doesn't matter apart from drinking readiness but that disclaimer is legally nonsense - like a car dealer selling a 2022 build as a 2023. Where did you find it?

Is Brooke's gin gift box also a steal at $35? https://www.firstchoiceliquor.com.au/spirits/brookie-s-gin-3…

Update: no bc 2 bottles are only 25% strength

Haven't tasted any but the two Byron's get good reviews and the liqueur has won a few awards. Tastes differ of course.

I'd say it's a good tasting deal and a good find.

Edit - and you just cost me a ton and a half. 🤣

        • haha that update

meanwhile I went off to a concert and didn't have time to buy

    volsk vodka 700ml $20 & 1 ltr $36 , going quixk

    • $20 is so cheap! I didn't know vodka could taste horrible (I appreciate cheap homebrand spirits) but this one was horrible

      • +2

        good for mixers bro
made five Summer Watermelon Punch out of one bottle
        that's a saving of $250

  • Scored some Disarrono, Italian almond liquor
    Cheers op

  • Tracked within minutes but the total spent is wrong (tracked as $53.63 spent but I spent $65.45 excl. GST)
    So strange..

  • Does anyone still waiting for tracking info for atleast 5 hours or more?
Its there under click history but no tracking info yet :(

    • In case it doesn’t track just report it as a missing transaction. I’ve had all my orders honoured thus far

Just be careful when buying from these guys ordered a cartoon of Corona 24 pack and kingfisher beer 24 pack and Corona beers only got 2 months expiration and kingfisher got only 1 months expiration . When called them they were pretending to be shocked and were acting like they don’t know anything . This store was based in QLD Waterford will try getting a refund or try swapping it .

How is the cash back from FCL calculated ?
Total minus GST, also doesn't look right.

    • Excluding GST

      • Seriously this is weird.
        Purchase $58
        Tracked $49.09

Are they still using Pentium with the calculation error ?

        • Query it. They'll probably say it's up to FCL, under "other taxes" (recycling scheme maybe?).

Whoa. Just checked mine and they've underquoted by nearly 10% - ie the rate is 20% not 22% as advertised.
I'll let you now what CR says.

Wonder how often that's happening, and who's getting the rake off?

        • CR has confirmed that FCL's cashback calculation is wrong - in their favour unsurprisingly. They're chasing it up. Won't surprise if you've ever had to deal with their online "support" (FCL's).
