I think these run off 19.5v 65w-95w adapters.
ah right, thanks!
If you're game enough, a DC-DC converter (like a buck boost) could work
There are HP PSUs for 12v to 19.5v. not sure if it would work with these though
If USB C works for you then the equivalent Lenovo models can be powered using a USB-C to Slim-tip Cable Adapter. A bit expensive at $42.90, but you can find cheaper options elsewhere.
One of my key decision points when deciding on a purchase is 'Does it use USB C connection for power?'
you can buy the usb-c module for HP EliteDesk 800 G5 and then you can power it by using the usb-c
would make a great plexbox as the 9500t has QuickSync.
Maybe even over powered.
hi, does it have the built in WIFI and BT module (wifi 5 ? or 6) and antenna ?
it does have AC9560
Wi-Fi CERTIFIED*Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac)
might have probs whacking a 4090 in that
Can I change the HDD to 1TB?
Yes, it has 250gb nvme and 500gb sata. You can change them.
Sorry I meant can I pay you to swap the HDD to 1TB for me?
Yes, please call us tmr
Anyone knows if this plays League of legends?
Are there any physical dimensions. How wide tall deep?
17.7 x 17.5 x 34.0 cm (6.97 x 6.89 x 13.38 in) taken from here if is indeed the G5 'mini' as per the OP's post, the G5 non-mini is much bigger.
Does it have space for an additional network card (dual NIC)?
No room for a dual NIC or space for mounting on the rear sadly. You can get a HP Flex IO card in 1gig, 2.5gig and 10gig flavours but they are fairly expensive and not super common, also I'm not sure the 2.5 or the 10 are even supported in the G5. Your best bet for adding extra interfaces for something like a pfSense box would be a USB ethernet adapter from someone like CableCreation, lots of USB 3 ports on these things.
Thanks, I am actually looking to buy a thin client that can run pfSense, proxmox server (HA, pinhole, vpn, nas) etc. I looked at the usb Ethernet adapter option, however I’m not too confident on them as it didn’t work for me last time (might be a faulty unit). Are there any other thin PC models you know of? I’m bit of a nubee when it comes to all these…thanks for your help
STH have a few good posts and videos of taking these small form factor machines and turning them into something useful like a proxmox server/firewall. The Lenovo units seem to be fairly popular due to their size and expandability.
Introducing Project TinyMiniMicro Home Lab Revolution
Lenovo Thinkcentre/ThinkStation Tiny (Project TinyMiniMicro) Reference ThreadI would also take a look at these units, a little more expensive but have 2.5gig ports built-in.
They're not always the easiest to get hold of at reasonable prices, but the HP T620 Plus, T730 or T740 all have a spare PCIe slot
Hey OP,
Do these units come with 2 x 8GB SODIMMs, or 1 x 16GB ?Looking at getting one for my Home Lab and would be keen to upgrade to 32GB.
Please call us tmr to discuss
Probably a dumb question, but this can't be run via 12V, right? I'm always looking for something more powerful for mobile astrophotography, but that can also run 12VDC (13.8V is more like it though). I couldn't see the power spec on your site, nor on ark.intel for the CPU.
