          me 4…

          • @jv: I’ve emailed them about this before - it seems some customers get these offers, but some never do, perhaps older cards/accounts. They seems to either be unable to fix it, or don’t care. Give some standard response about changing communication preferences, which makes no difference.

            • @fintyo:

I’ve emailed them about this before

              What is their email address?

            • @fintyo:

              perhaps older cards/accounts

My account is from 2010 and I get these.

Is there any class action against Latitude for the data breach and for the appalling way they handled the whole debacle?

    • +3

I like your optimism. Optus, Energy Australia, Medibank, Latitude… they're all going to get away with it, with nothing more than a slap on the wrist in the form of a written warning.

      • +1

The Optus and Medibank data breaches are now the subject of four class actions:

6 February 2023: Baker & McKenzie filed a consumer class action against Medibank in the Federal Court. This proceeding is funded by Omni Bridgeway, one of Australia's largest funders.

28 March 2023: Quinn Emanuel filed a shareholder class action against Medibank in the Victorian Supreme Court.

20 April 2023: Slater & Gordon filed a consumer class action against Optus in the Federal Court.

4 May 2023: Slater & Gordon also filed a consumer class action against Medibank in the Federal Court.

In addition, Maurice Blackburn has lodged representative complaints against Optus and Medibank with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Not aware of anything against Latitude yet, but some law firm will soon see the merits and jump at the chance of making some money.

  • The last email I received from Latitude was…..

Latitude recently experienced a significant and malicious cyber-attack which resulted in data being stolen from our systems. It is with deep regret that I am sharing with you that some of your personal information was compromised.

  • Bettter than Westpac: Sell your kid for 20 years to them and receive $20.

$2100 for $150 - I will be OS during this promotion and will spend more than $2100.

with no International International Transaction Fees, can we say this deal is superior to the standard CC reward point scheme?

28 degrees is the gift that keeps on giving. With the shoppers protection insurance, whenever I buy a new toy, I get money back.. I get money back which pays for more toys.. and now they want to pay me $150 to spend more money on ebay/amazon/onlyfans? :)

      • -1

Spend A$X amount equivalent in Foreign Currency

Would be easier if its just AUD and don't have to be in foreign currency. If you're spending on Amazon it'd have to be directly on the overseas site otherwise they won't count the spend towards the required figure?

        • +1

I read it as anything that isn't AUD. Fine by me.

  • +1

    $1500 for $100, not too bad :)

  • +1

    $2000 , for $50

  • +1

    $4100 for $150. Not great. I'll pass.

    • Important non-fine print: "…and spend $XX AUD or more in a foreign currency using.."

Spent $4000+ on Japan Airlines only to realise they process in AUD. :-/

  • I got 2300 for $150. I met the spend a month ago, but nothing so far. Has anyone got paid for this yet?
