  These are ok if you want to go as cheap as possible. However, if you spend a little more on amazon, you can get a ratcheting crimper (generic brand) which are soooo much better and leave much better crimps.

  Not taking away from OP. It was a good find.

        Admittedly I have the nicer brand of Klein Tools version. But if you are doing more than a few crimps, you'll be much happier with the nicer style tool. I am yet to have a crimp fail with it.

            @ilove: This is IMO the best kit you can go with for crimping this kind of terminals. I think there is a kit where you can change out the jaws for different types of terminals, but this has done me really well.

        Is that also the right tool for the bullet connectors that crimp on bare, and then you slide a clear insulator over them?

        I've been crimping over the wire insulation with pliers, then soldering the copper.
        I don't trust crimps for high current (e.g. e-bike) but maybe a better tool is what I need :)

    I use these light manual ones to pre-crimp so that everything stays put just long enough so that I can properly crimp with the ratchet ones (sometimes I need two hands for them if working in situ). I've had much fewer failed crimps this way. Takes a smidge longer but it is my workaround for having small hands and being clumsy.

      I'm not sure if this helps but I sometimes put the lug in the crimp die on one click to gently hold it while I insert the stripped wire and crimp.

  These absolutely suck to use, if you’re doing any more than a couple projects invest in a decent pair.
