PlayStation Plus Deluxe TL₺460 (~A$26.30) for 12 Months + Fees @ PSN Turkey (Proxy, OlduBil, Revolut Required)

1250

Thanks to ISP / I Smell Pennies and the current Turkish Lira crash, I could stack PS Plus and EA Access for the next couple of years.

Evidence:
https://imgur.com/a/YVDryBt

Requirements:
• Turkish PSN Account
• OlduBil Account
• Revolut Account (I guess any Bank should work)
• Turkish Proxies
• patience

SETUP

Part 1 Turkish PSN Account

This will not work on your current Australian PSN account. You will have to sign-up for a new Turkish PSN Account. To do that, visit the PSN homepage and create a new account with the region set to Turkey. Use a fake address. (I usually use a hotel in a Turkish city.)
Alternatively, sign up on your PS5 and set the region to Turkey.

Part 2 OrduBil and Revolut

Thanks again to ISP / I Smell Pennies

Visit ISP’s post from yesterday and follow Part 1-2b.

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/784047

Part 3 Turkish Proxies

You can use free proxies from hidemy.name and ProxyNova.

PURCHASE of PSN or EA ACCESS subscription

Top up your OrduBil Account as explained in ISP’s post Part 2b.
Log in with your Turkish PSN Account to your PS5 and add the OrduBil card to your payment method.
Go to the network settings and edit your existing SSID by pressing the options button. Go to Proxy, select “Use”, and type in the provided IP addresses in Part 3. (patience IS KEY! Most provided IP addresses won't work. You will get a lot of “failed” messages.)

Once you succeed, you must go to the main settings menu and go to Users and Accounts -> Account -> Payment and Subscriptions -> Add funds.
(If the proxy connection fails, you won't get past “Account and have to try a different proxy IP address”)
Add funds TL 460 and go to the PSN Store to subscribe. Adding funds is essential for subscribing. You can't buy the subscription straight via credit card.

Just added this morning and bought GTA V for 197 Lira.

    • Which method are you using, DNS on PS5 or Control D?

      • +1

I did the proxy things as the post said, then tried controld too but they both don’t work :( i stuck at “addfunds”

        • I did it guys. But not with this method. I used cimb bank and that’s too much easier.

      • DNS using controld works. I created a youtube short on how to setup controld

  • Can someone confirm they also got charged a fee from OlduBill too?

    • The fee just went up too, they cited the runaway inflation. 9 point something percent now.

      • Considering the Lira has depreciated by almost 15% against the AUD in the space of one month I reckon they might be on to something.

        • +1

Yeah I get that, what I'm saying is you don't need to add funds to purchase a game, afaik the "adding funds" is only for PS+, when you're purchasing a game all you need ot do is add your cc to your PS account and it'll just charge your cc for the game's cost. So if you do eventually give up on getting PS+ your money isn't wasted as you can just purchase a game or two instead. That's my understanding of the matter anyways, if anyone knows otherwise feel free to chime in.

Edit: I'm assuming you haven't had any issues adding your oldubil cc to your ps account ofc, as no one seems to be having issues with that bit, just the "adding funds" bit.

  • Are you guys able to still top up via Control D?

    • its not working to top up whit control D, 3 days and nothing, only error msg

      • Have you been able top up before though?

    • +2

Yeah I just used the ControlD method and I can confirm it works for me. I initially bought 1 year PS Plus Deluxe subscription last Saturday and I topped up another 4 years just now.

Just worth noting, I was having issues topping up the second time so I restarted my router and created a second ControlD Profile and Device (exactly the same setup as the first) to get another set of DNS. The second set of DNS worked like a charm :)

PS. Had some trouble adding 100TRY when I had like 120TRY in my Oldubill card (used Wise to transfer funds), so I added funds in multiples of 20TRY and it worked.

      Hope this helps !

      • Hey mate, sorry to ask/be a pain, but any advice? I set up a Turkish account on PS5, linked Oldubil card to account, and have funds on an Oldubil card and still can't get the PS5 to get to the account page to add funds - proxy issues it seems, you reckon ControlD would be better?

        • Yeah 100% ControlD is better. I’ve been trying the proxy method for awhile now and had no success.

I got as far as you did - I linked the card but I couldn’t add funds/purchase another subscription. I reckon it’s because I couldn’t find a reliable proxy.

  • I have money on an Oldubil card, but have not been able to have any success with a proxy and using PS5, I can never connect to the internet. Anyone had similar problems or a further workaround? I've been stuck on this step for a couple of days now..

    • Hey mate, use DNS using controld. I have posted a shorts link on how to do it. Some pointers though: Restart your router/modem, start controld, use DNS and then add funds.

  • does the new method works on an existing turkish account or do we have to create a new turkish account.

    • +1

The ControlD method worked on my existing Turkish account.

Was able to stack another 5 years on top of the subscription I bought last year.

    • Confirmed existing Turkish PS account works fine.

  • +3

Ya'll had me worried this wouldn't work!

Just topped up another 2 years PS Deluxe!

I used the new banking method to top up my OlduBil account, money arrived within an hour!

Honestly don't know how people could stuff this up, the steps are so clear and easy.

    • so its still valid! awesome. Whats the con of doing this?

  • It took OlduBil two days for the fund from Wise to show up, in the midst of Wise-> OlduBil declared not working and this deal expired. Thought my $$ was down to drain.
Finally able to add funds, holding off getting the ps+ sub as my current Au ps+ still has 6 weeks left.

I use Firefox with vpn in private browsing mode to add funds. It failed every now and then, and when too many attempts in a short period of time. So I pace the add fund every 15 mins it works flawlessly.

Now the question: now I have the funds in my Turkish PSN. Can I just get the subscription without proxy/vpn etc on my console? Or that’s step still needs proxy/vpn?

    • Use controld on your laptop / phone , route everything to turkey and then use the funds to buy PS+ deluxe .

      • I had trouble with ControlD, newly created account but did not gave me the free trial and asking me to upgrade for route traffic via Turkey. Any idea?

        • that is strange mate!! did you try new email ?

        • The same happened to me. I just paid the 4 USD and was good to go. You can add a legacy DNS device on Control D and put the provided DNS into the PS5 DNS settings. This method allows you to add funds straight from the console and buy the subscription.

  • What is all this chatter about ControlD, proxies failing, etc.?

I just added some funds to my Oldubil account and logged into my Turkish PSN profile on the mobile phone. From here, I can buy whatever game or subscription I desire without ever touching a proxy.

What am I missing? Is this problematic only if I sign up directly on console?

    • +1

Try adding funds to purchase ps+, thats where the issie is. Buying games is pretty straightforward, no issues there

      • +1

        I'm with you now!

I wonder why this is treated differently than buying games (which works a treat).

  • Stupid question but how do I sign up for a Control D free trial? It keeps asking me for payment details with no mention of any free period.

    • Seeing the same here

      • +1

Yea I think they must have stopped offering free trial.

In any case I ended up using the VPN mentioned in this comment and it worked like a charm.

      • Honestly it works, so I would just pay for the trial at this point

  • If OrduBil is not working now, what is the new process for adding funds?

    • Use REVOLUT. Put the money in Revolut app and use the VISA Card.

      • Do you need to load up revolut in turkish lira or can you use AUD? Thanks.

        • +2

Follow the steps, convert AUD to LIRA and then send to Turkish bank account

          • +2

@starspawn: Yup, Convert Aud to Turkish Lira

            • @codename47: and then purchase with Revolut VISA card? Keep saying "an error has occured" when trying to add funds using NordVPN set to Turkey.

          • @starspawn: Is the payment process all in Revolut and a virtual Visa card or is OlduBil still part of the process? I am confused by people saying "don't use OlduBil"!

  • +1

Anybody been able to subscribe in the last few days?

I have tried the Control D method, I must be doing something wrong because it is not working. I have also tried VPN phone method and doesn't work. I have followed tutorials and videos. I am using Oldubill, it works if I purchase something from the PSN store so the card isn't the issue. I cannot add funds…yet.

    Any help is appreciated.

    • Try the next day, if fund added, wait a while (or next day) before doing the next batch. That worked for me over 27th 28th July.
I used Windscribe VPN over private browsing in FireFox. For some reason in my case , it just refuse to work with Chrome, incognito or not.
      Best of luck!

      • Thanks for the tip!

I tried it but still no luck. The thing is I have funds in my Oldubill card but whenever I go to transfer 200 lira i always says error through all the different methods. I'll try and find another way.

    • I'm in the same predicament as you. If you figure out please let me know!

      • Make sure your dns filter is up to date and working. You can use a PS5 hidden browser (In accounts, linking services, Twitter) and navigate to Google search, then look for Whatismyip

  • -2

its been 3 days my money is not being transferred from Wise to Oldubil

  • -3

Does this still work? Says it's expired

  • -1

    IMPORTANT UPDATE 26 JULY 2023:
OlduBil: "Transfers from foreign bank accounts to our bank accounts in Turkey are not possible".

    • I transferred money from Wise to OlduBill with no issue on 1st August.

  • I have money in my card, but still get the error when adding funds. I have tried every method but always the error……

    • I am the same. Money on oldubil card, can buy games off the ps store in turkey but whenever i try and add funds it says error. Tried firefox vpn method and Control D method, i must be doing aomething wrong.

      • Worked fine with UrbanVPN (free) on incognito Firefox browser (mobile).

        • tried, didnt work

          • @CMaca7: Have you verified your location? With these free VPN services a lot of times you end up in a neighbouring country so keep refreshing until it says Istanbul on Google.

            • @Cineaste: Yeah still nothing….What card are you using?

  • So is there any working method. My PSN lapsed yesterday and it looks like i missed the boat

    • Is your Oldubil Card loaded with money? What step are you at?

      • i just received money on my oldubil.

      • Nope. I didn't even have an oldubil card. It's not accepting transfers from Australia anymore anyway so didn't bother

        • You wont be able to purchase without the Oldubil card as far as I know

        • +1

          Yes it is accepting.

        • I transferred 2x 2750 lira to my two oldubil ccs this morning, so far they both have not been credited to my oldubil ccs, will update if/when the funds arrive on oldubil.

Given that Turkish office hours are from AEST 1600 - 0000 I'm expecting it'll either be late tonight or tomorrow evening before anything happens though.

          • +3

@Hawk Tuah: Can confirm that using Revolut to transfer funds still works (Use Garanti Bankasi details in the ISP post linked above)

0600 - Transferred funds using revolut
            1300 - Funds sent to recipient's bank
            1626 - Funds received by recipient's bank
1830 - Funds credited to oldubil account

I'd avoid using Wise to transfer funds for now as a smal test transaction I did few days back has just vanished into the ether.

            • +1

@Hawk Tuah: Just got another 500 Lira credited to Oldubil that I sent yesterday. That's 12 months PS Plus Deluxe sorted.

              • @Cineaste: How are you getting it to work?

                • @CMaca7: I just follow the instructions. Nothing's changed. Don't bother with Proxies, ControlD, etc for redeeming PS Plus. A good VPN connection will suffice.

  • I tried with a good vpn with a fups card but it didn’t work, I want to buy a Control D subscription but I want to be sure that’s will work so I’ll wait.
Did it work for someone with fups using the vpn?

    • controlD has one month trial.

      • Yes but only some control, I see some tutorial required full control plan that hasn’t free trial

  • Does this all work with a PS4 console ? Anyone use PS4?

  • I bought a ControlD subscription with full control, changed my dns settled to turkey, topped up 10TL, after that I see only errors… Somebody knows how to top up?

    • There is no need to spend money on ControlD to take advantage of this deal. I used a basic free VPN, incognito tab on my mobile phone browser, and was able to set everything in minutes. Takes a few tries to get connected to a good server but the rest is formality. Most people forget to check their IP after connecting to VPN. Need to ensure it does not randomly connect you to a neighboring country.

      • Hey mate, I’m assuming you’re on Android. Are there any good free VPNs for Turkey on PC?

        • +1

UrbanVPN worked a treat. Alternatively Windscribe.

      • Vpn doesn’t work for me :(

  • I did it like two days ago, using firefox i went to psn turkiye site, sign in my turkey acc, and then went into my firefox setting and connect the hidemy .name proxy, first one didn't work, second one did, confirm by checking ip is in turkey and then i added 200TL x 2 and 60TL and brought 12 month ps plus deleuxe on bowser.

Confirm works on pc so the subscription now active on my ps5 and ps4

    • Idk why I can only do a single top up then it gives error, do I have to change proxy every time?

      • shouldn't be

  • Does this still work, also when I setup Turkish psn can I play the current games I have on Aus psn with Turkish psn or do I have to redownload / repurchase. My mum has a Turkish bank account and Visa card will it be easier to pay for it using her account ?

    • Definitely works if you use your mums card

      • ye all good it did, stocked up two years deluxe premium might do another few yrs.

  • I can't seem to find a single proxy on any list that will work on PSN now. Looks like the proxy method might be over now

    • Use Control D and pay 4 USD one time and cancel. You can use it for a month. Works like a charm.

      • Are there instructions for this?

      • +1

just wondering why Control D instead of other VPNs?

  • +1

Whats this cimb bank?? Anyone can please help me?

  • +1

ControlD requires a full control plan to set the manual location to turkey. Any other alternative?

    • +3

I just used Control D. You pay 4 USD and save so much time. The only alternative could take up to an hour. I guess the 4 USD / Month is well spent.

  • How to transfer to OlduBil now? Apparently some people are saying Garanti bank is dead. and some saying Odeabank works. What’s the IBAN for Odeabank

    • +1

OlduBil has all bank details in the app.

      • +1

Revolut says it isn’t accepting transfers now

        • +1

I am using a fups card, Top up from revolut to fups card directly via card number(so you pay very less fee) and then you can top up on oldubil via credit card easily with no fee

          • +1

@Struzzo: How do you get past the number verification?

            • +1

@jayboi: Search for 5sim, you have to buy 50cents of otp

    • +1

      You can't, deal is dead.

      • +1

I did on 1st August. Is this something happened recently?
