Hey OzBargain,

Onebed here.

You know us for our mattresses and probably for the usual EOFY sale we run. This year, we're doing something different.

Usually, we put a chunk of our budget into ads to promote the sale. This time, we decided why not just give that extra discount straight to our customers instead?

So, here's the deal: We've made discount codes for our OzBargain supporters. You won't see these anywhere else. They'll give you an extra saving on top of our standard EOFY sale. Here are the details:

$100 extra off our 8-inch Onebed Essential mattress with code OZBESS
$200 extra off the 10-inch Onebed Original mattress with code OZBORG
$300 extra off the 12-inch Onebed X mattress with code OZBX

Just pop in these codes at checkout and they'll take the extra off the sale price. These are our absolute lowest prices, and the best deal we can offer. You won't find a better deal or coupon available.

Just another heads-up, we are in partnership with some CashRewards (7% cashback) - so feel free to take advantage of this as well.

We appreciate your support. This is our way of giving back to the OzBargain community. Thanks for being there for us, and we hope these savings can be useful to you.

All the best,
The Onebed Team

I purchased the onebed x which is their most expensive model 1.5 years ago and it sags bad. AVOID

My warranty was rejected as onebed want photos without any weight on the mattress which I can't do with back issues. I provided photos with objects on the bed to demonstrate the sagging which onebed didnt accept

I'm currently using an emma mattress

    • Gosh, that doesn't sound like the dreamy Onebed experience we aim for. We're really sorry to hear about the sagging issue with your Onebed X.

We totally stand by our mattresses and their quality. If there's a dip that isn't up to our standards, we replace it, no questions asked. Part of our policy does require taking a photo of the mattress without any weight on it.

I understand you mention you have back issues that prevent you from doing this, would it be possible to have a family member or friend take the photo? We really don't have sagging issues often, and when we do, we simply ask for a photo to show sagging, and then we replace the mattress straight away. We really don't hold back on any warranty claims, as sagging is so rare for our mattresses.

We appreciate you for bringing this to our attention and we're all set to make things right for you if you're willing to work with us on getting a photo taken.

maybe sagging isn't the best wording from me, the mattress isn't as supportive as per the photos I've already supplied you

photos as supplied to onebed already, Ive used 4kg weights in the photo and the lack of support/sagging issue is persistent in the middle of the mattress as well, not just the sides per the photo. The photo shows the same side of the mattress

    • I'm using the 10 inch version from within a year i think. When last big sales were on here.

My side of the bed sags also now, thought of taking picture when changing sheets and upgrading to next model by paying a difference, but it looks fine when you are not laying on it due to the top layers.

Wife's side of the bed is much better, but she weighs less haha

      • How many years did you get before it started sagging?

        • +1

Less than a year. Bought July 2022. But i am heavier than the wife and her side is up higher without a sag. You notice the difference when you roll over to her side versus mine though when when i need to roll over

Maybe better for skinny people haha

What does a sore back have to do with not being able to take a photo? Absurdity

  • hybrid mattresses are all going to sag. i recommend spring base, mattress topper. at least then you can swap the topper out when it inevitably sags.

    • What would be a good topper to get?

      • +1

it depends on your weight and pre existing issues. ikea have some and if you don't like them you can exchange for another or a gift card.

    • What causes sagging on hybrid mattresses? Is it the pocket springs or the foam compacting?

      • +1

from experience it's the foam. the koala i tried it took 2 weeks to start sagging (that was their premium one too). sleeping duck took 1.5 months and was sagging (firm pads). i think alot of the mattress in a box companies also put latex in to slow down the sagging but its make the beds more uncomfortable (sleep republic/eva).

idk after trying many many mattress online trial things i gave up and went back to simple firm spring mattress and mattress pad. at least i can swap out the pad and not have to find a way to organize removal of an entire mattress. which varies in its level of headache.

        • That's what the wife is thinking, get a proper spring durable bed and these types only for guest rooms where little use occurs

I can help here. I actually sold mattress for years and got fed up with all of the dipping issues. I bought the equipment and now I make them myself. Dipping is the umbrella term for multiple issues. It's not only hybrid mattresses, in-fact I would say it happens much more in all foam mattresses. Basically, the foam loses it's structure and it's ability to be supportive. The problem is, when it's lost it's structure under load, it's not visible when you aren't laying on it.. You can feel it, but you can't see it.

Car tyres wear out evenly because you use the whole thing. Mattresses wear in one spot, because you normally lay in 1 spot.

Flexible bed slats - These cause dipping, very common problem. Many companies sell bed frames with these "posture slats". They kind of curve upward. Never buy these. I repeat, do not buy these. They cause dipping/back problems/quality of life problems. The slats have to be rigid/solid/no flex, you get the idea. You don't build a house on wet mud and you shouldn't put your mattress on flexible slats.

  • Bought the 8-inch Onebed Essential single bed for the kid. Delivered the next day. So far no complaint.
