Performs the same functionality as HDMI but is better in a few ways. Look up a comparison.
If you have a high end monitor that does 2k/4k with high refresh rate (140+) or 8k you'll need these DisplayPort since HDMI lag behind. But if you don't then you probably don't need to worry about it, then again you can always future proof.

May have been unlucky but I had one of these cords and it failed. Gave me super weird graphic anomalies. I was worried it was my video card. Luckily just this cord. Got a refund from Amazon no worries.

Got mine, they don't work. Monitor glitches out and becomes unresponsive. Old cable no issues. Rubbish quality.
My 1m one working fine for 1440/75hz
UWQHD+ 144hz (AW3821DW) . Monitor freezes/goes grey/glitches out as soon as a game is launched.
