Damn box cutters changed and F'ed up the whole world dynamics .. I would have risked fighting this blade any day on any flight. RIP 911 🙏🙏

      Amen homie. "Let's roll".

    • They likely butchered a female civilian just to set the tone. As was heard over the comms some people had already been stabbed so it''s possible some did put up a fight. :| :(

Cutters that need the round headed bolt to be tightened and untightened are annoying

    • +4

So is cutting yourself when the blade slips. Safety cutters are much better IMO.

      • +1

Safety cutters are good for little kids but fairly limited in their usage

    • I prefer them as the clip on the slide-types always breaks for me.

  • These aren't auto-retractable which is only good for home use…

    • +1

These are great. They were supplied for us at a very large company in the signage industry and they are way better than any alternative anybody brought in. I had one last for several years, getting hours of use out of them daily. Sure, occasionally somebody would cut themselves with them, but it was generally down to them being careless.

      • +3

That is a sacrifice I’m willing to make.

  • +5

These are quite possibly the best cutters you can get. They don’t slip, light weight and each to change blades.

    • +1

Agreed. Been using these daily for the last 15yrs doing signage fab. The lockable blade is essential when applying any kind of force. No quick slip retractable blades compare unless all you're doing it opening boxes.

Quick! Make a new youtube channel: Jerryscratches everything….

  • They've slashed the price!

  • Seller cancelled my order for some reason

EDIT: probably oos-though there was plenty left when I put my order through this morning

My previous box cutter deal, price drop and in stock.

  • +2

I bought the $3 craft right utility knife from bunnings. The body is great but blades dull quickly. Which for the price is not unexpected just spend your money on quality blades.

    • +3

I've always treated the blades for these things as completely consumable. I replace them all the time. Do pricier blades REALLY last longer? Also, wouldn't you want to be using a razor sharp blade each time instead of a slightly less dull knife?

      • +2

I sharpen mine on a whetstone and hang them on the line to dry after each use. I’ve been using the same blade since I was 7.

      • +2

they last longer and are better but ultimately they're still consumables.
That being said OLFA is probably one of the better (if not one of the best) brands in this game.

        • Thanks. I'll admit, I had no idea!

$18 if you don't have Prime lol. Bought at $2.16, thanks

  • Needed for the Amazon prime membership and the amount of shippers you get because of poor utilisation.

  • Available to purchase again

  • omg, bought one!… My dad had one of these and around late 90's one day I took it to school for some arts & craft project and lost it. I was so guilty of it at the time. Brings back so much memories.

  • Yoink

  • The banana cutter has dropped to $3.70 if anyone wants to cancel and reorder
