Yeah seeing a few newer games now recommending cards with 10gb+ VRAM in recommended hardware - seems more than just the odd porting anomaly now.
as games get optimised, looking at the last of us p1, they require more sane levels of vram
Almost 15% more expensive than the previous 3070 deal ($545) which is still active. Per TPU's relative performance chart it's only 5% better at 1440p, whilst having the same size bus width. It's power consumption also leaves something to be desired at a whopping 30% higher for the GDDR6X memory. The benefit of the latter being insignificant. https://www.techpowerup.com/review/nvidia-geforce-rtx-3070-t…
This is probably in the best 5 deals I've seen on here in the last 12 months. Doesn't say much though, I'd never pay that much for an old mid range card.
just wait for 4080 or 3080ti to come down :)
Not sure why someone would buy a 3070 Ti 8GB now… Maybe to play at 1024x768.
what game do you play? :)
I'm going to assume you're trolling. Though to make it clear to the people that do sincerely believe this. This gives the community a bad name. The fearmongering is tiresome at this point.
did 1440-165hz fine for me, although I don't let triple-a's beta test for $70
Similar or just slightly slower than 6800 performance but if you are playing new AAA games in 2023+, I will get at least 12gb VRAM GPU. There are few games need more than 8gb VRAM atm.
