Alternatively, price match at JB Hi-Fi then use a $10 perks voucher for even more savings.

    • To get 2, will have to price match twice?

      • Not sure, I only bought one. It's very quick on live chat.

      • +1

Yes, I got 2 price matched and used $10 Perks voucher.

    • Just wondering how often are the perks vouchers sent ?

      • +1

Once when you sign up, once in your birthday month and then the $10 vouchers for all are maybe twice a year.

  • +5

Not sure what they're like usually but I ordered this from Bing Lee last week and they still haven't shipped it. Go with Amazon I say.

    • Agreed, I've purchased a few things from Bing Lee's store via Ebay in the past and their shipping speed has been terrible.

  • +2

mine got fried within 2 days in a Rpi

    • +1

      Roastberry Pi?

    • I've had one in a Switch for a week with no issues. Stock from Officeworks.

    • +1

i'm using 64G evo plus since 2020. Crazy that i paid $22 at that time.

      • I paid $15 the other day for mine from JB. Dammit should have waited!

        • +1

Order a new one and return the new one on the old receipt. That's what I did today.

    • +1

What source? Amazon is famous for having a problem with counterfeits when it comes to SD.

    • I ordered a 128gb one from Amazon last week which was doa.

  • Nice bought 3 X 64gb and 1 X 128gb. Wouldn't allow me to buy one more 64gb even in a separate order

    • -1

      why buying low capacities ?

      • +1

Replace dashcam cards and also home surveillance cards. They record on loop and 64gb still gets HEAPS of hours/days of continuous recording. Was previously using a 32gb card until that corrupted then went to a spare 16gb card so this is a huge upgrade.

        • +1

In terms of card life for continuous recording, the bigger capacity the better. Your move from 32 to 64 means the full storage gets written out half as often so in theory it should last twice as long

          • +1

@based: Yep true but the cost per GB also comes into the picture and the upfront cost. I think 64gb is perfect especially at this price.

        • +1

So.. you ran into data corruption.. and you’re still not buying a high endurance card instead?

Sorta ballsy move if you ever get into an accident

      • Why buy something you don't need?

  • Thanks got a 64 gb card

  • +19

Bing Lee eBay, extra $5 off with monthly eBay plus voucher

    64GB: $7
    128GB: $10
    256GB: $21
    512GB: $43

    • Yikes!
Bought from Amazon and scrolled down to find this :(

      • +2

You can cancel your Amazon order if you are quick.

Note that 64gb isn't available on eBay due to postage cost. So if you purchased that one don't worry about it. Also ensure that you have an eBay voucher before cancelling.

        • I just did that too . Ordered on Amazon, Cancelled order and then ordered on eBay :D.

Thanks for the share about ebay and the code

    • +1

For 512gb…you need to add another $2 on cart to apply the code.

      • No that’s cause you have used the $5 off $15 voucher already, now you have $5 off $50

        • I don't think I've used my June code yet - did one in May - and I'm getting - "We can't apply this code until you reach the minimum order total" - on the $15 128GB card. Nevermind!

    • +1

Nice! Nabbed a 128GB from eBay. Thanks!

    • +1

      Thank you. Save me $5

Perfect timing for the miyoo mini and rg35xx handheld deals

  • What is their writing speeds?

  • +1

Bloody hell, I just got this at $10 with the 64gb a couple of days ago too 🤪

    • +1

Yes I was holding off as it is just spares. Glad I did :)

      • +1

I keep getting tempted with deals on storage and then think, well I probably won't need it for a year or two. In which case, today's deals are high prices compared to future prices.

  • Just had the 512GB delivered from Amazon yesterday for $55.
Bought it for the DJI Mini 3 Pro that I ordered over the weekend - it'll work fine, right?

  • Got 2x 512GB from Amazon. TY

  • Is this good to use with VIOFO dash cam?

    • it's fine

    • Change your clock, change your smoke alarm battery, dashcam cards and check your dashcam is still working (I've had two Viofo cameras fail)

  • +1

    Any deals on 1tb cards?

  • How are these with sony cameras?

    • +1

Full-size SD cards are better for cameras because they have faster read and write speeds, making file transfers quicker and allowing for smooth photography and video shooting.

      • Thank you

      • +1

Why are full-size cards faster? Do the adapters affect the speed or something? Thought you only needed to look at the specs U3 V30 etc.

        • +1

You're right, they aren't any faster inherently, like you said you need to check the rating and benchmarks. These microSD cards will be very competitive compared to any full size cards in the same price range.

If you want V60 or V90 SD cards then you will have to pay a lot more money.

  • +2

    1tb $99 wen ?

  • -1

    code?

  • Good for switch?

    • I'm sure it would be fine as switch caps read/write speeds anyway from memory.

What I'm keen to know is, once you expand your switch's memory with a card, can you still use the internal memory?

I've searched online and it's not clear in any of the sources I've trawled.

OLED switch has 64GB of storage internally, but if I buy a 64GB card and I lose use of the internal memory, I've gained nothing. If I can still use both internal and expanded mem, then a combined 128GB is likely all I'll need for that console (and I wouldn't go a larger card).

      • +1

Seems like once you insert memory card, all games save to the sd card.

So, if you wanna maximise internal storage, you should download games onto internal first and then insert sd card.

        Post I found on gamefaqs:

“Yes, the switch will automatically download games to the SD card once it's put into the system. So if you download all your games when there's no SD card in, it will all go to the system. You can then insert your SD card when the Switch's memory is full“

        • Bewdy, thanks.

I remember the Playstation Vita's internal memory became defunct once you added expansion, so this is good news.

I'll only need a 64GB card then, in addition to internal mem, which I've got a few of still unopened in the drawer from other deals already!

          • +3

@fookos: Once a sd card is added, games download to it by default, but you can move them from the SD card to internal memory after in the settings data management menu.

    • Yes I use these for the switch and they are perfectly fine.

    • +1

Yep, I've got a 128 GB one in my switch. More than fast enough. Nintendo recommend a read speed of 60 - 95 MB/sec and these are 130 MB/sec.

  • I paid $56 last week from Amazon. It's still in the mail… Will chat refund the difference or would I have to return it (which isn't worth it to me).

    • +2

They definitely don’t like refunding the difference and always advise you to return it.
I’ve only managed to get the different ones out of five attempts and no longer bother.
So instead of wasting time trying to make sense with them, I just do a return for a refund.

      • Yeah cheers, oh well ya win some ya lose some.

  • +1

How's the performance on these for a steam deck?

  • +1

Banner says it's part of the EOFY sale, ends June 30.

Edit: Or offer ends in 15 days, same thing.

  • Are these good for dash cam or survillient cam?

    • For dash cams/surveillance cams which are constantly writing data, you're better off using an Endurance card, which are specifically designed for sustained writes. Endurance cards are a bit slower and also cost more.

  • Had a few of these fail on me in cameras and other devices

    No way exploding Samsungy

  • Interesting no deals on the 512g Pro Plus… so Amazon's $81 (from Amazon AU rather than third party sellers) is still the better deal than BL's $99 "Clearance" price.

  • Thanks OP :) I'll use it in my GoPro

  • Ah Bing Lee. They sell their cards on eBay with no actual stock. It took 3.5 weeks for my card to dispatch last time. Arrived after I needed to use it too

  • bought at officeworks with price beat!

  • Has anyone received their orders?

    • Yes ages ago from Amazon

      • Received mine today. Cheaper than ordering from Amazon.

  • This or Pro Endurance for Blackvue DQ750X?

Also is there a maximum capacity for this dashcam?

  • +1
