Hi guys.
We're aware that a small percentage of Red Rooster orders have either tracked at incorrect cashback rates, or not tracked at all.
The incorrect cashback rates will be fixed today.
As for untracked orders, we're currently in discussions with Red Rooster and will update further via this thread once we know more.
We apologise for the inconvenience, and please don't worry - this will be sorted : )

                This might be the first time I've had issues with Cashrewards not tracking at all, which is a bit of a shame.

    • Yeah. I would like to know too. I haven't gone through the whole ordering process yet, but it seems there is nowhere to indicate a pickup time (unlike PizzaHut, where you are forced to choose a time slot together with a date when ordering).

    • You just place the order and then you will receive an email and text message with a link to start preparing the order - you can pick up any time so long as you do it before the store's closing time.

          • @HopSkipJumpFallSplat: Yes. I will order on the same day as the collection… but if I order and click the link many hours before picking it up—-won't the meal just be kept warm (in an oven) waiting and getting stale for too long?

            Or do the staff actually start preparing the meal only when you get there in person? (So, we wait for a few minutes, just like at Maccas?) I'm not sure that all the Red Rooster food is considered "fast food"—-maybe it is, and takes only a few minutes to cook?

            • @dlee: Oh misread, I clicked the link as I approached, and waited in store for about 2mins, clicked it about 2mins before walking in.

        • I think to be on the safe side, do not click it until you are nearby. But going by past experiences, they may still not prepare it anyway until you tell the staff at the counter that you are there to pick up the order, i.e. don't just assume that because you've clicked the link, they are busy preparing the order.

    Straight after placing my order I got confirmation that my order tracked and I am going to get 15c.
    I bloody hope that fixes itself when I check in.

  • I can't get any payment method to work, CC, Paypal and Gpay all fail(Android phone)
    Will try the PC.
    PC took me 10mins to set location, it just randomly suddenly worked, then payment CC same error as phone but Gpay worked.

    Bit of a fight but finally got the order in.

      Couldn't use app/phone none of the payment methods worked for me, so I added the cashrewards plugin to firefox on the PC, gave me a headache but eventually managed to get the order in.

    Spicy burger box, the burger was great but wouldn't want to pay 12.30 for the boxmeal, 2.30 awesome but that coupon price nah.

    First time trying RR. It was alright somewhat less oily side for fast-food IMO. Burger was a bit tiny and very watery gravy. Redeemed 2 chickens as new sign up and 2 out of 3 pieces were decent in size, not super salty like KFC. I'd have it again with coupon price.

  • Have to pass on RR deals as my local is just too disgusting and it takes alot to put me off a feed, but build up grease and food waste on the benches, filthy floors. Looks like it is almost never cleaned. Kind of unbelievable considering it's a restaurant

  • I couldn't get payment to work through the CR app, kept throwing up errors and not allowing payment with any of the 3 methods, gave up and went home instead

    I guess the best bet is to order on your laptop and go and pick up, not great for after work though

    • I had the same issue, errors for all 3 payment methods, pc had the same error for CC, but Gpay worked on the PC.
      I wonder if using a browser on the phone would have worked.

      • I've never used CR on a mobile browser, kind of assumed it wouldn't work for some reason, good to know for next time

        • Just make sure to whitelist or disable any ad blocker, I'm so used to using the app and my mobile browser has an ad blocker so after I typed that comment I went and whitelisted SB and CR.

    Ordering was straight-forward,
    ie.
    go through CR web-site to Red Rooster [RR].
    Choose store location
    Order the 'Spicy Burger Box'.

    Enter details (phone number, Email address).
    After payment (using PayPal), RR sends SMS and Email with order details.

    Once you get this Email / SMS, and want to pick-up the order,
    press the "Order Confirmation" (or some other wording to say that you're ready)
    and then they start cooking/preparing the order for pick-up.

    It will take them 10+ minutes to prepare the order.

    Picked up my RR Spicy Burger Box.
    The RR was packed full of people, ordering pick-up,
    and from some of the looks on their faces (mixture of glee, curiousity),
    I was guessing they were OzBargainers too.
    They just had "that look", haha

    The young girl who prepared my order, knew about some 'online promotion' thing
    and they were flat-out with orders, etc.

    I had my first RR chicken…probably ever.
    The spicy chicken was good, and nice level of crispiness and tangy, spicy taste.
    The burger was OK, and a bit small.
    Overall, the chicken tasted better than KFC and the seasoning was just different
    (as I was used to KFC).

    The chips and potato-gravy was just too salty for my liking.
    In fact, everything was more salty than I'm used to,
    but the chicken itself was tastier than KFC,
    and I could see myself going to RR again one day, for the chicken.

    PS:
    My CR history does show the tracking of my RR click-through,
    but I'm still waiting for the official CR Email to say order was tracked, etc.

      I got the buttermilk wings, first time and probably my last. They were crunchy but tasted so bland. Should’ve got the spicy chicken instead.

      I actually liked the ordering process, because:
      - it did not need an App
      - there was a way to press "Confirmed",
      right about when you wanted to collect your order.

      I've had KFC orders mess up, when I wasn't in the restaurant,
      and I don't like the new KFC app either
      ( in fact, I try to avoid using Apps for such activities,
      eg. turning on GPS, giving them your address, etc.. etc. )

        I agree with what your saying but the email said store/drive thru/kirbside pickup but it only let me do store.

        So I went the the drive thru and they said store only.

        And per the cashrewards terms of clicking through sms it is same link to the order page you already have open?

  • The CR app hasn't tracked the $10, finished with RR dinner. Terrible food, never again even if CR tracks the order and gives me money.
    Even the chocolate desert we ordered was dry, wife bakes better than this.

      The girl at counter handed my order to other along with their order. They were like, we dint order this and she was insisting it was his and its paid. He was kind enough to point at me.

    Guys, please relax. Tracking is coming through albeit very slowly and sporadically so there’s obviously a reporting delay at RR’s end - but they will eventually get to you. As an example, I can see some orders made early afternoon reporting just now, so the delay is real. Let’s give it a couple of days - there’s nothing to worry about. We’re still well within the 1-7 day tracking period. Thanks.

    It seems completely normal for RR to take a long time to report the cashback. Hope it tracks soon

    Last time there was a 100% cashback from RR it took the full 7 days to track for me. Not expecting anything different this time round

  • No tracking here, can see will have to lodge complaint, with email and text confirmation of order and amount paid.
    Hopefully the $10 gets paid out … eventually.

    Great promo from CR but poor experience form Red Rooster. Local stores in Brisbane CBD said people had trouble ordering the Spicy Burger Box online and that ‘IT were trying to fix it’. Seems like that code was just not accepted by those particular stores. Wasted so much time trying to order from different ways in the menu, adding to cart, applying code, changing stores, etc

    Kept getting errors like ‘Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information).’ This was happening in web browser using Edge (no ad blocker) and in Safari on iPhone.

    Half chicken shows up as $0 at Queens Plaza and won’t let you add to cart.

    No tracking yet.

    Again big shout out to Cash Rewards, it was a great offer. Just disappointing from Red Rooster side that certain stores decided not to take part in promo, errors on their website, unclear pickup process, tried to make me register to collect Red Royalty points at the end of the order even though I was already signed in to my account when I made the order.

    I was in a rush and only clicked confirm order from the CRewards app when I got to RR. It gave me an order number and I told the person at counter my online order.

    I didn’t read the bit about going through email/sms but just now I clicked through and it says the same order number. Do u think it’s ok to just click confirm through purchase page (not email/sms)?

      That should be fine. If you've clicked through the link as well, it's all for the same order # and should track eventually ;)

        Next CB deal. It's a bit steep at $2.95 each but I think it's justified cause it's such a hassle to make by yourself for a couple of slices. Great value when in the pack.
