  • anything for body and facial hair?

    • +2

can't you use this for both?
      it is just a shaver

      • It only goes down to 0.5 - I had to buy one nad then I found out

        • -1

is 0.5 not good or low enough?

How low do you want it

you trying to get it to razor level?
if so, just use a razor

        • +1

So how are your new nads going?

      • +1

It's way too sharp and you'll split open your ballsack. You need to use those softer and finer trimmer blades for sensitive areas

  • Hi @xiaomi_global_direct,
Trying to check out some reviews for this clipper, not unsure about what model is this.
Is this the Enchen or the Mijia model or something else? If you had a video link, that would be awesome as well.

    • +1

It's the Mijia model. Video link

      • Thank you for the confirmation. Cheers.

probably better to get a corded wahl clipper from shaver shop etc if you regularly use it.

There's no need to charge the wahl to use it
and the battery on these rechargeable clippers will eventually wear out

    • +3

whereas your grandchildren will probably be able to see the wahl

    • Exactly…mine still going strong after 7 years of regular use.

    • Depending on where and how you're cutting, a cordless one can be easier to manoeuvre. I know with trimming my beard it's certainly easier with a cordless trimmer than a heavier one with a cord.

      • yes generally cordless is nicer to use cos there is no cord hanging off it.

but it is not that much more harder to use a corded vs cordless when trimming beard etc..
you just put on the guard and use it
Eventually you will get used to using cord shaver/clippers.

If cutting your hair you want someone to do it for you..
so cord or cordless is not as big of a factor in ease of using it.

The biggest annoyance is the cordless battery dying while you are using it.
Not an issue with the cord clippers. And they are usually more powerful in cutting power than cordless.

I got a old corded clipper still working since bought it a long time ago.

Bought cordless clippers because of manoeuvre factor
which are all useless now after the batteries no longer can hold a charge after 1 or so years.

Bought a cord WAHL clipper from one of the shaver shop sales posted on ozbargain..
and I think that should last a lifetime (if well looked after).

        • We've got a different opinion on what beard trimming is… :) To me trimming a beard means shaping it around the edges when it's longer. Which quite often means using a hand held mirror as well, and that's when a cord can be a hinderance trying to juggle a couple of things and getting the angles right. Not using just using a guard all over when it's short. That's fine with a cord.

can't wait to test on the Scrote….

  • any deal for Xiaomi shaver?

  • I bought one of these only to find out that it doesn't cut to 0.00 but only 0.5…

    • which is matching the description?

      • hah yeah, i guess i thought it was going to be like the wahl li-ion shaver I have

    • So what would happen with no guard?

  • This or Philips 5000 series for $54?

    • Philips uses its own power adapter which is one more thing to bring (or worry if you don't bring) when travelling.

      • You cut your hair when you are travelling?

        • it's for the beard

    • I was also tossing between the 2.

  • OOS?
