These are eshays favs too. They will be stoked at this price.

    • +11

Not sure why the negs. You're only speaking the truth. I'm guessing negs coming from non eshays who like these shoes feel offended.

      • All red sneakers are another thug favorite.

      • +1

yeah not sure why the negs

brah said the truuth! look at me Im stoked

    • Don't essays buy Nike TNs though?

      • It essay the gay eshay?

      • +1

Those are eshlads from Penrith. Gives extra speed when evading police

  • +4

They look very nice. Tempted, but how are those in the rain? It looks they have less grip than a F1 car in the wet.

    • +5

Weird hyperbole, I'm willing to put money that an F1 car has better grip than 99% of the cars on the road now

      • +5

Nah surprisingly not… racing slicks are notoriously slippery in wet conditions. It’s also well documented that F1 tyres don’t actually work at slow speeds (combination of reduced downforce and lower tyre temps).

        • +2

Do they use slicks in the wet?

        • You do know that F1 cars don’t use slick tyres in wet conditions?

      • +3

Misconception. Mechanical grip vs aerodynamic grip. The grip for F1 cars comes predominantly from aerodynamics. The mechanical grip from tyres is even less pronounced in the rain due to cooler temperatures, not being able to retain heat and slower speeds.

    • So.. If these has the same grip as a wet compound tyre, it would mean it's pretty awesome?

      @LotteryWhiner

It looks they have less grip than a F1 car in the wet

Why in the world would you wear these in the rain? That sacrilege. Wear Kmart thongs instead. Problem solved..lol

      • haha.. Ikr, but I commute a lot and some train stations get very tricky with minimum water.

      • +2

Sometimes, you don't expect rain, weather reports aren't always accurate, rain isn't the only cause of a slippery surface.

    • The soles look a bit slippy unless they are a good compound like the Sperry boat shoes that are awesome in the wet despite being a flat surface.
Not so why you'd wear white shoes in the wet anyway though. But easy enough to clean these.

  • Copped, thanks!

  • +1

    Doesn't seem comfortable?

    • +1

Assume all these styles and brands aren't that comfortable.. probably like those Stan Smith.. all white Reebok would be more comfortable.

Id prefer some Jack Purcell ones, but $50 is alright.

Hard to tell about the sizing, pic says US and the table has UK. Free returns hopefully.

      • As a generalisation I agree. However, my Stan Smith are very comfortable to walk in all day. Considering I normally only wear Ultraboost.

      • stan smiths are actually comfy

        • ok good to know - don't look it compared to most that style.

  • +1

Never worn white shoes. Worth trying for $50.

    • +1

Agree just have to keep them clean, but that's the look for these. Don't forget cashback.

    • +1

They’ll look good aboard your 200m yacht

      • +1

One thing at a time. Shoes first then yacht sailing jacket, finally wait for ozbargain sale on yachts (or boat show tickets).

  • +1

    Found these run slightly big

  • +5

    Tommy "Volley" Hilfiger

  • Size selection in US and size guide in UK size only. Need to order US size? Ie for UK 7, order US 8 as usual?

    • +2

There's another size chart in the pictures if scroll down.
Id try and work out what you are in cm.

      • Oh yes I see the chart! Thanks 😊

        • No worries, from what i gather if i'm a US9 in nike then US9 in these (and 8 in Converse) etc.
Will see how they go, worth a try for ~$46 & free returns. Just need a preppy cardigan now.

  • +7

take away the branding and these look 'kmart'

    • +2

I mean it's a pretty simple but clean Style.

Let us know how they are:
      https://www.kmart.com.au/product/casual-sneakers-s154142/?sk…

      • These have like very little padding… i.e. not 'soft' when walking.

Are these Tommy shoes the same?

        • hmm maybe will cancel then, assumed they are hard, i'd be surprised if they are even as soft as the original converse chucks which are very hard.

          • @G-rig: I own chucks and kmart ones. The chucks are 'soft' and feels 'quality' (and cold!) in comparison to the kmart's. THe kmarts indeed do feel cheap and doesn't have much bounce… but is good value at $20. They also look 'old' very quickly… but still worth $20… THe pleather is what it is…

…as in, the Kmart ones are worth it. Visually these tommy shoes are basicaly the same but ahve a tiny red/blue logo on it lmao

            • +1

@smartProverble: you should try some of the CX adventure converse (40% off in the other deal), the innersoles are way more comfortable and bouncy than the normal chucks (which are still quite hard to be honest).

The kmart ones- i'm sure they are fine for $20 but woudlnt expect them to be that good. The styling always looks cheap to start with. They would be hard on the feet and the materials not as good (not against vegan leather but in this case probably not the nice stuff).

Prob cancel the Tommy ones as I don't imagine the soles being that comfy to be honest. All white runne runners like those Reebok be much better.

    • +2

Liquid paper will get rid of the douchey logo.

    • +1

Kmart imitate/steal designs of a lot of things, so you could say that about a bunch of their items…

  • +1

Just got some size 11’s with TA’s $50 Amazon Gift card deal back here and stacked with Cashback! Cheers OP!

    • Doesn't work with amazon credit.

      • yeah i got some Amazon credit (gift card) but can use for something else.
        Topcash 9% hmm.m

        • +1

Yep best bet is to use Topcash 9% here.

      • Yes, not credit. But a gift card works.

  • Lol it’s just Tommy guys

  • Nice one, $48.5 with the gift card.

  • US 11 only has 2 left I think. Order quick!

  • I got the $68 ones last week and worn them already
Can I buy this and return it for a refund using the old invoice?
How particular and specific are they with barcode etc?
    Maybe a silly question

    • I did something like this with Puma soccer shoes on their official website and it worked (was half price a day after I bought them). If the colour and size is the same it might work, because barcodes are not unique to items per se.

  • "Tommy Hilfiger Trainers:… the leather Cupsole Sneaker incorporate effortless touches of class."

    hahaha

Does anyone actually think they're classy anymore? Maybe in the past

    • +2

For $50 I'm willing to give them a chance

      • +1

me too… Lets see why we see them so often (or are they just white shoes in general) and leather shoes for $50 is a bargain

New ozbargainer's footwear, replacing Pumas? Or is it just the 'classy' ozbargainer's choice haha

        • +2

Hahaha I've got a pair of the Puma white sneakers I picked up for free with the Cheddar $70 bonus cashback. They've been awesome so far. Can always return Tommy's if they are crap

  • Are these comfy?

  • Does anyone know how these clean? I have some white shoes that are more vans/tennis shoe style and the white fabric is very hard to clean? Perhaps the leather makes these easier?

    • I can't comment on white leather, but regarding your vans… can't you just throw them in the washing machine? Or bleach them?

  • Not an eshay but out of all brands Tommy attracts me the most. Too bad no US13

  • +1

Nothing special about them, flat uncomfortable shoes. And also so bland and boring in white.
    About $40 too much

    • +1

What do you suggest for better comfort whist looking clean casual and not too sporty? Id say jack Purcell better.

  • +1

    Size 10 $115. wtf. I wish I had size 11 feet

    • Size 10 was $50 last night

  • Not working for me, size 8 and 9 showing $100+

  • +2

    not working anymore.

  • +3

Not working for me, while size 12 showing $50, when adding to the cart, the price changes to $118.30

  • All sizes are showing $118.30 for me

  • Ozbargained again.

  • +1

Well played I got myself a $50 pair thanks 👍

  • Thought tittle was leather speakers , so assuming speaker r built into the shoes!

  • +1

Usually a size 9 or 10 in Nike
Size 9 got delivered today. Too big. Should have got an 8 :-(
    Back they go

    • They look very simple and basic compared to the nice tommy's i saw in Hype that are ~200.
Will send mine back too - usually a 9 in nike 8 in converse

  • Got mine today, damn this shoe size runs big.

Edit. So doesn't seem I can exchange them for a different size… sigh

    • +1

Same, mine will be going back. Seems to be at least 1/2 a size too big (and make a cracking noise when you walk in them - that may go away, who knows). Seems like we should have followed the EU sizing. Thick socks maybe ok but screw it.

  • Got mine late last week. Based sizing on my nike shoes and fit perfectly. (I do try to find out the cm size of nike and convert it to Tommys size)
