It's actually $249 for 2 but I take your point. I guess one man's Commodore is another man's Ferrari, they both get you from A to B. Not much point recommending stuff from Aldi that's not in stock by way.
This is no Ferrari either, and Le Chasseur is no Le Creuset.
Spend little bit more, and get yourself Le Creuset (or Staub).Enamel cracked on 2 Le Chasseur pots I had 4-5yrs ago, and since then I ungraded to Le Creuset.
These are rated to 200c whereas I had no problem with Le Creuset at 260c for bread baking.
This is around Le Creuset price (if you import).
You can feel and see the difference in quality between the two brands.
I'd be buying the ALDI ones over Le Chasseur, as they're probably the same quality… Le Chasseur trade purely on the confusion between one French name and another.
Or buy them from Aldi for $20ea when there in stock, why would anyone pay $250 is beyond me, I've had Aldi ones for over 6yrs now and and it's still like it was on day one. And I'm betting there just as good as the $250 ones.
