  • Thanks OP - Jumped on this one. Our cookware is coming up a bit average at the moment and due for a refresh. Got $2.53 from CR as well.

Unfortunately you will be buying a new set in a year. They don't last very long.

      • Yeah I am kinda expecting as much. Tbh I bought a fancy baccarat pan recently and it shit itself fairly quickly so I figure whatever I buy has basically a year or two in it tops.

        • I was expecting way longer but unfortunately was scratched and bent. I dropped a couple of them woops…i do recommend tefal but in the jamie oliver or hard ionised with the higher edges. Were cheap at myer not sure. Now. Good luck.

    Got 1 set. Thanks op

Not induction compatible fyi, and likely not made in France if that matters.

    • China?

    • +6

Does it really matter which country you get your cancer from?

      • +3

The French made ones are supposedly more durable, but I would agree, non stick belongs in the rubbish.

    Got one

Compatible with all stovetops, excluding induction

  • its aluminium i reckon, doesn’t say anywhere in the description.

I'm not one to tell people how to spend their money, but these pots are gimmicky and not particularly useful.

Having one non stick skillet/pan for low temperature cooking (fish, some eggs) makes total sense. A non stick saucepan/stew pot is a terrible idea. You can't get non stick very hot without damaging the surface and creating harmful chemicals that get in your food. Without heat most tasty things aren't tasty.

A non stick wok is an abomination and crime against nature.

If only ppl realised sticking food on a stainless steel pan is actually a good feature for flavour

IKR. I feel like chemistry in school should teach the Maillard reaction as a matter of course.

    • +4

      +1.

I used to buy these sort of sets and just replace as needed. Switched to stainless steel a few years ago and will continue replacing my remaining non-stick cookware with stainless.

  • +4

Don't know how anyone buys non-stick anything after watching Dark Waters. Get stainless and watch one youtube video of how to use it properly.

    • -1

      Whats dark water??

  • +5

This brand is bad. Coating kept coming off withjn few months

  • +4

Can't believe people still buy non-stick in 2025.

    • I guess it’s like cigarettes, people know they’re bad but they taste so good, the soothing effect hits instantly, they are in nice little conven… wait what I don’t smoke

    • +1

Iron cast or stainless steel is the way to go. Non-stick is so harmful in the long run

      • I think you mean steel stainless

  • +1

Cast iron for me only, occasionally stainless steel like scanpan.

    Hard pass

  • I’m in desperate need of new cookware and keep missing these Scanpan and Tefal deals. 🙈

Wow you desperate to get cancer too?

      • Regrets! I wanna cancel the order, unfortunately Catch only does returns, might as well do it.

        • Same.. its from marketplace so cant cancel… aiya… troublesome i imagine the box must be huge

    • +1

This might be a good one for you if you're still looking. Only 2 left though!

Comes down to $150 if you add something else from that sale (eg. Kitchen aid short turner for $10)
It's $320 on Amazon with decent reviews.

      • Appreciate this, I read some reviews but now it's sold out unfortunately.

is there any basis for the continued perception of cancer causing non-stick? PFOA have been phased out years ago and non-stick coatings are now under stricter safety standards, yet the stigma still remains. I regularly use non-stick, but with the understanding that you dont overheat the pan and after a few years or any visible scratching its time to get a new one. If you got some "sauces" to change my mind (pun intended), I would love some bed time reading.

Btw, I find that tefal pans in my personal experience can have different levels of durability. I'm currently using the Tefal Ultimate Induction pans (with the titanium blend), I find it to be more scratch resistant to the previous tefal pan I had.

    • Exactly, some quick research after watching Dark Water yielded the same info

  • If we not supposed to overheat non stick, meaning cooking steak on nonstick is a no no? Damn no wonder i cant get a nice meat taste evertime

    • +1

def no no cooking steak. cast iron to get a proper sear

  • +1

    Available again.

    • probably from order that i cancelled lol
