Site seems to be stable again for me. Big fan of their beans, except for the Downtown just because it's a darker roast.

  • Many of their products are tagged 'Offer' but the only discount I have discovered so far is 50% off their RELOAD Pods.

Is this the same for everyone else?

Email said 'INGLEWOOD’S MASSIVE EOFY SALES! Shop your favourite Coffee, Tea, Chai, Chocolate, Merch for 50% Off and the best discounts on Inglewood's brewing equipment.'

I wonder if they are having some site issues and it's being updated.

When you add to cart and go to the cart, it has 50% off applied.

I’ve tried Sunset and Roosevelt in the past and liked Sunset more. Tempted to try the Brazilian SO! :)

      • Thanks. Still not working for me though! Eg; 1kg of Downtown or Sunset is $60 in cart, or even at checkout. Odd. LMK if I'm overlooking something obvious.

        • Strange. I went again and emptied cart and added Sunset and worked well with 50% off.

I tried Whole Beans and Ground - worked for both.

Maybe try another browser? I’m on Safari on mobile.

@emgee: You won't believe it - it's due to my timezone! It's 5pm in WA.

I changed the PC timezone to UTC + 10 and it worked. Changed it back, and it didn't.

That's a poor job on the part of the website developers. Not only is it a bad user experience, it means that people can hack time limited deals.

@realJuliusCaesar: Aha. That’s funny! Oh well, something we lucky folks on the east coast don’t have to worry about usually. 😅

@emgee: Well, if you want to get more discounted coffee on 1st July, you know what to do 😄

                • @realJuliusCaesar: Very smart! Heh heh.

                  • @emgee: Jumping in here to see if you guys have received your beans or notification of postage yet? Assuming you placed an order early on at the start of the sale

                    • @JayParker: I have ordered but no confirmation around delivery yet. Possible that they are inundated with orders.

                      • @emgee: Cool, thanks. My orders arrived in one delivery yesterday!

                    • @JayParker: Got a notification for shipment today morning.

            • @realJuliusCaesar: Jumping in here to see if you guys have received your beans or notification of postage yet? Assuming you placed an order early on at the start of the sale..

              • +1

@JayParker: I'm afraid I haven't ordered yet. I'm new to this brand and I'm waiting to get my previous order out of the freezer to try!

          • @emgee: Different question, how did you empty your cart? I had to sign in and there’s products leftover from my last log in that I don’t want…

Edit: I could do it on Edge, Windows. I couldn't do it on Edge, iOS.

            • @sween64: Cool. I saw a small ‘trash can’ icon and that worked.

  • +1

I've just ordered and delivery is free for some reason to NSW.

    • Have you received your order or notification of shipping yet?

  • About to finish my 1kg Downtown from last sale.
Anything similar worths a try? Thanks

    • How did you like that? I like darker beans so confused between Downtown or the Brazilian SO. :)

      • +1

One of my favs, dark and creamy.
But wanted to try something different this time.

  • +3

Real enjoying my Sunset atm. Just bought some Downtown to try out.

    Good beans here.

Anyone know what shipping is to WA? Hate websites that make you make an account just to calculate shipping

    • +1

Ordered 500g Sunset and 500g Roosevelt last time…paid $5 shipping to WA

    • Not sure, but it's free over $50

  • Anyone Inner West of Sydney want to split an order for free shipping? Gotta find any angle with these rates

    • Shipping was free for me in Sydney for 30$ order.

      • +3

I think the $50 free shipping is being calculated from the pre discount price

  • What's their signature blend to try first?

    • +2

      Sunset or roosevelt

  • +2

Their sticky chai is atrocious in case anyone is wondering.
Also Roosevelt is the nicer bean

    • thanks, I ordered both sticky chai and Roosevelt.

      • Lol I hope you don't regret the sticky chai. I really hated it. Prana chai is the gold standard

  • Anyone tried the pods?

  • OP: Thanks for this post.

Ordered Roosevelt to try out. Came out to $30 with free shipping to WA

    • Cheers, thanks the info. I haven't actually ordered anything yet.

  • +1

Sunset Blvd is my favourite. Roosevelt is not far behind. Downtown was terrible.

    • How do you brew? Do you drink black or with dairy or substitute?
I want to try a blend for Plunger, I usually buy Filter S.O. for pour over.

      • +1

Espresso. De’Longhi Automatic. Flat white with almond milk.

I also drink filter with an AeroPress and am about to try SB in that.

        • Thank, let me know how the SB turns out? :)

I ended up ordering one of everything except for Downtown. I’ve got a Moka Pot should the blends not brew well in the Plunger.

  • Free shipping over $50 but must be applied before the EOFY discount? Just ordered 1kg of Roosevelt and came to $30 and free shipping (VIC)

    • Yes, it seems to be the case. Although it's also free shipping on all VIC orders, as per the post.

      • +1

So it is. I read posts better after I've had my coffee. Can't wait for this to arrive, I'm in need of a restock!

    • Me too now, if I don't take account of the discount. But if I order $120 worth of coffee, I get a $60 discount and free shipping.

They must have fixed the bug on their website about free shipping.

  • +2

Just FYI if you need the beans immediately then don't hold your breath. I was asked for feedback on my last order so I provided feedback about the slow shipping & dispatch times and got the following response.

"Please note, during sale periods we can see dispatch times grow up to 7 business days purely based on high demand."

    • That’s a good point. I’m wondering how they’re going with the shipping already delayed 6 days post start of sale (13th June). I ordered when I received the email on the 7th and still haven’t received a notification of shipping.

      • Yep. They made it out like it was because they got “so many” orders during the sale before mine but it’s like they purposely hold back so they can ship a bunch of orders out all at once.

7 business days dispatch time is pretty much unacceptable imo

      • To be fair on them, I ordered some decaf beans plus the matcha powder and turmeric latte on the 13th and I received them yesterday (standard shipping to NSW) although I may have just gotten lucky (decaf's probably not the strongest selling item they have in these types of sales).

        • All of my orders from 7th through to an order I placed on the 13th arrived as one delivery on the 15th

  • Are their 500g bags resealable?

  • What's so good about this coffee?

    • +2

What are you comparing it with? It's different to beans from the supermarket, because you get it freshly roasted from a boutique coffee roastery in Melbourne. The beans are probably from more premium sources too.

Whether it's good depends on whether you like it.

  • ahh ok, yea I dont buy supermarket beans.

I am fan of another local roaster in melb called Bonacci Coffee

    Personal preference I guess.

  • i've got a $5 shipping to Sydney CBD

  • +1

There's now the option of delayed shipping beginning 2nd of August. No options to change this date and my confirmation email specifically states that shipping will occur on the 2nd.

    • Interesting. Funny how businesses will do anything to bring revenue forward into the current accounting period.

      • +1

As a consumer, I'm really appreciating the delayed despatches as I can now start stacking the discounts. A 1kg bag usually lasts me a month so I'm never out of a bargain.

  • +3

Re shipping, it used to be that the free shipping kicked in even if the after-discount cart value is less than $50 e.g. if the cart items were $60 before a discount is applied (meaning $30 after discount), the free shipping still applied. Now, it appears that they may have removed that benefit as my cart is sitting at $40 ($80 before discount) and it is now asking $5 for standard shipping to 2118.

Last night, the shipping was still showing up as free for whatever was in my cart so it would have been an overnight change.

  • Put an order in on the 11th June. Just got an email then stating that auspost has finally received shipping info. Talk about slow turnaround - not good enough!

  • Ordered on 15/6 but not shipped out yet. Would have gone for other roasters if knew earlier.

  • Has anyone tried their Ethiopia microlot?

    https://inglewoodcoffeeroasters.com.au/product/reserve-list-…

    • No but I'm very tempted to get at least a couple of kg - it sounds amazing!

      • +1

I'm not able to checkout - saying it's out of stock. Would be better if they didn't allow you to add it to your cart… or marked it as OOS.

  • +1

Place an order last Monday. Still have not received. Will go with someone else next time.

    • +1

Ordered on 12th and only just arrived today on 28th. Ridiculous delivery time. Have lost a customer.

  • +1

Wow very slow this time, same experience as others. They aren't usually this slow.

  • +1

Their spam mailing list must be a mess, i get text messages about their sales calling me Christina, lol

    • I got the same

    • I am Christina

  • +1

    Ordered 12th, shipped 20th, still haven't received. Only traveling a few suburbs…

Last time I'll be ordering from these guys. 1Kg bag will be halfway through its best use by before I even open the bag. The 1kg bags aren't even resealable either.

  • +3

Took 9 business days for them to deliver… considering how quickly coffee loses its 'freshness', that's an astonishingly long time. Would've gone with any of the other coffee roasters in my state if it'd be this slow, especially since Inglewood isn't the only one doing an EOFYS.

  • +1

So my delivery looks like it will likely be 10 days after order, to add to the chorus here on their snail pace.

Has anyone in receipt provided feedback to Inglewood?

I'm contemplating this being my last order from these guys and would find it useful to consider what they have to say about the reasons behind slow delivery, or any acknowledgement.

  • +1

    Date Invoiced 2023-06-18
Date Delivered - just received msg from courier about delivery today.

I hope y'all are having better luck. I hope the coffee is amazing.

    • I'd say they weren't prepared for the boost in sales.

I ordered mine yesterday and I don't really mind when it arrives as I'll put it in the freezer anyway.

      • +1

Lol. They say that every sale.

  • Earlier on, 1kg was free delivery to Sydney, today it is $5 delivery charge. Wanted to give it a try. Oh well, I guess will pass the deal, will get the SO Brazilian beans for $29 delivered..

  • 60% off downtown now, plus there's option to for delayed shipping to 2nd Aug. so 1kg bag now another later

  • +1

Can't check out some items even though can add to cart. Seems they can't get a handle in their stock levels and from comments above their shipping process is a mess
