Bought 2 last Christmas. Kayaks have both held up over a dozen inflations. I am 180cm and cant fit legs under the front, but perfect for rest of family (<170cm). One paddle snapped cleanly on first use at the black plastic grip section (not due to improper use), second paddle will more than likely snap in similar weak spot. Would recommend buying better quality paddle with this kayak.

    • Is that the single-seater one?

      • Yep, as pictured

  • How do these compare to those hard plastic kayaks? It feels like I would have greater chance with them in the case of a croc or a shark attack haha

    • They do the job perfectly fine, the bonus is not having to load it onto roof racks every time you want to use it, which is a deal breaker for me. But its a great little toy for camping and packs away quite well. I think avoiding croc infested waters is the best bet, and I wouldn't be using this in water open enough for dangerous sharks to be lurking either lol

  • Can I use the double one for fishing? Like sit in the back and have my gear in the front?

Yea, it would be ok. I wouldn't want to paddle more than about 500m though. It's pretty inefficient. I paddled about 4km and it was a killer!

May not be that comfortable either. YMMV though.

Allow about 15 mins for set-up and fiddling.

Bought 12 mths ago and used twice.

      • Thanks mate.

  • what's the best bargain non-inflatable kayak?
