Could this be the cheapest yet? Fits up to 65 inch TV, but can also do 75 TV just place it closer to centre of TV. I reckon price has changed either today or just few days ago, as I was looking at this on 1st June it was still above $300 (still good priced). Had a hard time telling myself is still above $300 let’s wait wait and wait!! But for $274.26 I pulled the trigger.

FYI you do need the HDMI sync box to make it worthwhile…by that I mean work!

Don't you need the $437 HDMI sync box to make this work properly?

Yes unfortunately another cost. But I treat it as an investment for my home.

        What's the expected ROI?

        • About tree fiddy.

        • If not, how would you consider it as? I can’t put in as cost if it’s a necessity. In this instance for my lights in the house.

@mooreshady: Do you really consider a gradiant LED light strip to be necessary lighting?

This still needs the $400 sync box to be used though right?

    • Yes is need still.

    • If you have a home theatre PC wouldn't this still work without it?

You can use the free Hue App on PC?

      • Yes you're correct, dont need the Sync box if you are running movies/shows/games via a computer.

  • Great alternative for those who missed it - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/778430

    • I found govee to be pretty poor. Lytmi is MUCH better. I'm yet to try the HUE in gradient form, so can't compare like for like there.

    • Not at all.

    • I stand by this. Price is cheaper AND you don't need to run all your cables through a box which can lead to more problems. However, you do have to deal with the camera with this but again, its quite managable

      • Theres a version 2 of the govee tv unit that has dual cameras and better build (so it says) but i would prefer spending a bit extra on that. Not on amazon tho

If you're running it on PC , you dont need the Sync box , as PC has its own app for Hue devices
But for Consoles and TV , yes you need the sync box or you can just use it for a standard coloured light

  • Can this work with hue essentials app on Android or the Samsung hue app instead of the hue sync box

  • I read the title too fast….. and I saw, "65 inch TV for $274!!!". Oh my.

      I wish I got it wrong too🤣

  • This was probably the best deal:

    $250 for 75 inch.

But of course if you have a 65 inch this is more suitable.

    • It was a great deal. I jumped on it.

  • Price now says $294.15

    • Yes saw that unfortunately. Mark as Expired now

get govee or set up your own HyperHDR/Hyperion setup

  • Does this work that much better than the Govee for the added price? Cause the Govee comes with everything and its significantly cheaper than whats needed for Philips to work properly..
