OZB_VANDAL_SPECIAL
Morning OzBargain! Happy Friday my friends!

Our EOFY deals start now!

Thank you all for the continued support, we sold out our last AMD build in a record time of only just 4 days! I am loss for words at how supportive the OzBargain community is!

For anyone still on the fence, our awesome customers have left us reviews from our previous builds accessible toward the bottom of our home page here - www.nebulapc.com.au

I’ve had a lot of requests for an Intel build with NVIDIA, but I must be transparent about the reasons why I have been hesitant to. I understand everyone here is looking for the best bargains, but with the Intel CPUs there is literally a negative margin, meaning I can’t pass on any discount on that product. It’s up to you to believe me or not, but I am seriously paying more with my suppliers than what you see is the lowest retail price ($315) for the i5-13400Fs. The new stock that has come in this week has gone up $15-$20 for each unit as the Australian dollar has dipped considerably to the US dollar meaning our imports cost more now. The days of prices going down and value increasing are coming to an end. As you all know our favourite subscriptions like Amazon, Netflix, eBay Plus and Woolworths Delivery have all increased in price. Not to mention our everyday living costs with basic groceries and living expenses have all also gone up, unfortunately. This is not only associated with our dollar but also with the Reserve Bank trying to curb uncontrollable inflation with contractionary monetary policy making it especially hard for businesses to grow and to slow economic growth. In this current landscape, consumers are encouraged to spend less money meaning businesses will have trouble surviving without increasing their costs as the sheer volume has decreased.

With that being said, I have still tried my utmost best in delivering the best possible value in this dog-eat-dog industry. Despite having no discounts on the CPUs, I have negotiated even further on the other components to pass on the maximum possible discount for the community. I did this by securing bulk levels of stock so that I can make sure this time no one will miss out. You know the drill though; our order amounts are made just to sell out so first come first served!

This build is heavily Intel-optimised, with the RAM supporting Intel XMP. Same as always, all parts are premium and the latest of the latest technology (within reason), with the latest Intel 13th generation, DDR5 RAM CL36, 7400MB/s read and 6800MB/s write SSD speeds and the world's number one graphics card brand ASUS. We don’t make compromises or cheap out on parts with our builds. From my understanding, no one is selling a build alike on OzBargain due to the extremely slim margins on new componentry. You’ll also notice new upgrade pathways with even more premium options! For the chassis, we have secured Lian Li Lancool 216s and ASUS CPU coolers instead of Corsair. The Gigabyte B760 GAMING X AX also supports up to 3 M.2 NVME slots for all storage lovers!

Considering the pricing on these all-new components with retailers and suppliers providing little to no discount, I've still beat the PCPartPicker retail price by $137 and we will provide our premium service. All PCs are built with passion with a 3-year return-to-base warranty and lifetime support (many of our customers can attest to our late-night calls and chats) and a strict quality control process.

We’ve also upgraded our live chat to a different platform as many reported bugs and issues.

You are also eligible for the Diablo 4 promotion where you receive a copy for free and a month of Adobe Cloud for free from ASUS with each purchase

Use code OZB_VANDAL_SPECIAL to score yourself a sweet deal that you might have missed out on earlier!

If you're not an Intel fan, I understand this deal may not be for you. I try super hard to cater for as many people as possible considering the number of combinations and preferences in this industry. This build is for the people that have been asking me for Intel with an NVIDIA platform. However, if you don't find this build ticking your boxes, please reach out and we'll work something out :).

Please let me know if you have any questions! Happy to help! We'll be working all of today and this weekend including the evenings, so don't be afraid to give us a call, go on our live chat or email us.

very lacklustre. i could build this for way less.

priced almost the same as the PC Part Picker.

and the GPU can be picked up for almost $300 cheaper….

    no deal

    • Hey mate,

That actually sounds awesome! Could you PM me the details of where I can pick up this ASUS GPU for cheaper? I really want to get everything at your pricing so I can pass on this sort of discounting to our customers!

      Cheers!

      • -2

Some people on here consider one off ebay sales as permanent price drops.

        • +4

some people consider "one off ebay sales" as someone that appears more than seasonally.

the frequency is far more than "one off".

      • +1

not the specific card. but the 4070 in general has been known to drop to mid 800's.

you can pick up a 4070 ti here for almost the same price as your 4070 here with 10% off - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/185747773031?hash=item2b3f6e1667…

not to mention this TechFast deal for $900 less.

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/778584

        • We can't buy bulk from eBay, they limit the amount of coupons that can be used so it's not for commercial purchases. On top of that, MSI and ASUS are not the same brands. We have chosen to opt for ASUS as they're the number one graphics card brand in the world! If you can let me know where you can purchase the ASUS TUF 4070 in commercial quantities for $300 less, I really would like to know, please.

I'm happy for you to purchase that deal from our competitors! There's a market for all and this build is not the same as the one's around. There's distinct difference between ours and others, it's up to you to decide what is valuable or not :).

          • +14

@Nebula PC: in the nicest way possible, if you can't deliver a bargain, you should not post on this website.

i'm not in the market for a 4070, I'm just posting comments as advice to yourself and to potential consumers.

i appreciate what you're trying to do. and i appreciate that you've posted deals in the past.

            • @Carrian: I think at the end of the day this is a huge market, and it's impossible to cater for everyone's needs. I understand this one's not for you, no dramas!

In my subjective opinion, it really is a bargain considering the service and price you are paying (below retail) for an Intel build. We have overhead costs too and we need to eat, we can't operate at a loss. There are no others alike doing Intel 13th gen. Many people have asked for the latest Intel CPUs and that's what we're delivering.

              • -1

                @Nebula PC: the increase between 12th i5 and 13th i5 is negligible.

                if I can save $900, I will.

if you can't deliver a bargain comparative to your competitor, you're just being seen as marketing your company on this website.

                which is tacky and lame

                • +2

@Carrian: And again that's why I'm saying I understand it's not a deal for you! We're just on two different boats and there's nothing wrong with that.

There's been a lot of requests for the latest generation components and that's what we've provided. As I said, it is a bargain compared to our competitors as they can't match our prices for the components used.

          • +4

@Nebula PC: Noting that this is a bargain site, most users here aren’t going to care what brand the 4070 is. We just want a card that has adequate cooling and isn’t obnoxiously loud which means pretty much every card fits the bill.
I don’t understand the premium pricing from ASUS anyway, their customer service is average and other manufactures offer better or equal coolers.

            • @AusNugz: Considering they both have a 3 year standard yeah totally agree

        • +3

You are right. This is not really a great bargain. It more like a discount off a inflated RRP.

          • +1

@Dauphin: That's sadly the truth that we all can't avoid, I'm paying the same inflated RRPs as everyone. If I could get it for much less I would be so happy to pass it on to you all!

    • +2

May be we need to expand our horizon & look beyond our preference. There're buyers wanting 'high-tier' (latest generation) parts, customisation & willing to pay a premium. 'Value for money' is low priority for these buyers & NebulaPC is in this space 🤔🌅

  • +12

    No deal

  • +1

    Tldr.

      • +1

Haha yeah I agree, was going to mention - no point pairing all these higher tier parts with a mid range gpu. Will be negligible difference in gaming performance at 1440p/4k between the two deals.

        • exactly

          • @Carrian: We're also in a dud GPU cycle (think 20 series vs 10 series - nobody was upgrading then either), would recommend anyone dumping that kind of money to either go 4080/7900xtx or just wait till the next gen or the inevitable price drops on this gen. Cards aren't exactly flying off the shelves at the RRP.

            • +1

              @Canberralad92: I’m just waiting for a 4080 deal, low $2000’s with a CPU that won’t bottleneck

      • You're comparing a Toyota to a great wall. They're both cars, and will do the job, but one will last you a lot longer, made with better parts, better thought out and is just better made all together.

        • +1

          disagree.

          i think i'm comparing a 2006 camry to a 2006 camry with a spoiler.

i might be able to sell the spoiler (the remainder of the PC around the GPU) for $100 when I've run it into the ground.

          • @Carrian: At the absolute least, 2x ram slots vs 4x ram slots, more nvme, and a lot more io. It's objectively better. You can't disagree with it lol.

The value part is a different story, and better parts rarely win. Which is why we're now sending billions to China for their cars lol.

  • +22

To be honest… I don't mind businesses coming on here to sell what they consider is their best deal. Nebual have marked themselves up as store rep, and attempted to explain how their pricing fits into the market. Not everyone is always after the cheapest possible deal if there are sacrificies in delivery time or other issues.

If you don't like it, don't buy it.

    Keep it up Nebula!

    • +1

Yup not one for me but I would rather see more posts like this than less.

    • -1

i agree with you - so long as there is a deal/bargain to actually be had.

      • +7

What I'm getting at, is that a deal/bargain is totally subjective. For someone that wants these particular components, doesn't want to manage a relationship with multiple different stores/ebay sellers for warranties, cannot build their own PC, etc. this may be just the deal they're looking for.

Just because you don't see a deal doesn't mean someone else will not. You're totally entitled to let others know that you don't see the value, and I'd encourage this. But hacking into someone who is just trying to do their job (sell PCs) is trite.

        • +2

Agreed - I personally find no value in the "X hundred/thousand dollars off a Tesla" deals that are posted. But some people love those. Not sure why, it's not my cup of tea - but it doesn't mean it isn't a deal, and it certainly seems to be a deal for them.

  • +1

Not sure if this one is for me (although my 4-year old gaming laptop is certainly showing its age), but I appreciate Nebula's passion and energy that was put into this post.

Looking forward to your future deals :)

  • +1

This one is certainly not as an attractive of a deal. But don't let this discourage you. Maybe just try to find better bang for buck products. For your builds.

    • +3

The feedback is clear from all, we're already cooking up our next one :).

      • +1

Good work champ. You are a great rep and honestly hope you continue to do well!

  • +4

Thanks for the feedback, everyone! All feedback is good.

I've dropped the price by a further $70 totalling to $2129 for the build. Your total savings from the retail PCPartPicker price is now $137, a bargain price now for this build.

At the end of the day, I understand everyone is looking for a bargain and it was our choice to create this build with the latest generation componentry. In future, we'll make sure to drive the price down more by playing with the parts more without compromising quality.

  • Hey I'm not a fan of the deal but I really appreciate the effort to provide us a good deal here. I'm liking your website and how it's put together, really easy to use. I might use it to pick up a system for myself when I have money saved up.

    • +2

      Cheers mate!

  • Is there a redemption for MW2 as well when buying intel processor?

    • Great question.

I haven't received any master keys from the suppliers I've bought from strangely enough. I'll have to follow up with them.

  • +2

After the premium OzB customer service on display, I'd settled on my builder before picking the build

With the 7900xt, 4070 & 4070ti sales going on, I'd been checking multiple times a day for the next nebula deal…. ready to hit purchase…. Unfortunately this one seems quite tailored to more unique market

Fingers crossed Nebula are able to access some decent sales over the next week or so to put on a good value AMD build. Sounds like suppliers giving Nebula the cold shoulder !

    • Haha sounds good.

Were you after an AMD GPU build? Or just AMD CPU?

      • Where-ever the best value is in the EOFY sales for performance. Doesn't have to be absolute top tier brand if the value is elsewhere 👍

        • +2

Yup, we're cooking something up to cater for this. Look out next week my friend :).

  • @Nebula PC i think you are doing a fantastic job with communication and transparency. Saying that I was one that missed out as well on the AMD build from last offer. I'd be keen on something similar again.

    • That was a one-off haha, sadly can't get those prices again :(.

All prices have gone up for everyone.

  • +1

Still hoping for a 4080 build that's around 2k! Hodl till then

    • Not possible sadly at this stage :(, unless we go cheap on every single part.

  • Is there any chance of a workstation build?
I am thinking something like the previous OZB_SPECTRE_SPECIAL deal - around $2.5k with an AMD CPU & AMD GPU, but increasing the CPU value and lowering GPU value.
Or would this VANDAL deal be the closest?

    • +1

If it's for a workstation, it would depend on what kind of work you're doing.

Sadly all the stock for the previous AMD deal is all sold out, we secured a good price at the time.

This Vandal build would be quite suitable as the 4070 is more than enough for most work applications. You would, however, need to upgrade the CPU to get better multitasking performance. You can get to around the 2.5k mark and have a better work-performing build compared to the Spectre.

For the Spectre build, it had a better GPU but a slightly lower-performing CPU. I'd say it is more suited for gaming. Bear in mind, I'm generalising here as I'm not sure exactly what kind of work you'll be planning on doing. The extra VRAM on the 7900XT is usually not necessary for general work.

We can also remove any RGB on the case to make it more work suitable.

Let me know if that suits, if you have any questions shoot us a message on our live chat :).

  • When's the previous AMD deal coming back?

    • All sold out :(.

That was exclusive pricing at the time. We'll have to try to secure it again.

  • I've upgraded a few things on this build (4070ti, Intel i5 13600KF) and it looks good and fits my budget with the discount applied, also the website is really easy to use for someone like me who is new to buildings PCs. My question is are these things guaranteed to be compatible/ is the PC tested before shipping out? I think my adjustments are pretty good but I really don't want to spend all this money and find out I stuffed up and it was built broken anyways.

    • Hey Gamerino,

Yes, all parts are compatible with the build otherwise we wouldn't list it on our website. We have a very strict quality control process, we install Windows, and all necessary drivers and stress test all components before shipping it out to you. Your test results will also be saved to the desktop. To answer your question, yes all components will be compatible and will not be built broken.

You can access our reviews here as well just toward the bottom of our home page - www.nebulapc.com.au

Our builds come with an industry-leading 3-year warranty return to base and lifetime support.

Shoot us a message on our live chat and let's go through what you've chosen, I'm sure it's a ripper build!

  • Could you do a i5-13600KF with this build? Would be interested

    • Yes for sure! We just don't list half the CPUs to make it easier on what stock to order and what we have on hand.

Could you please shoot us a message on our live chat and we can special order this unit in for you?

      Cheer Nick!

  • Appreciate this deal! I tried upgrading to a 4080 and 13700F + a cooler, but it brings the price to $300 over PC Part Picker price. Though I know it's hard to cater to a smaller customer segments especially with slimmer Intel profit margins, do you have any plans soon on a higher end build with a 4080 + 13700/13900?

Also a heads up that the 4090 AUS ROG STRIX is mislabeled as 4080 on your site.

    • That's the problem with the discounting model, sadly it will cost more sometimes as we're not buying bulk numbers for the higher-end GPUs. Also, make sure you're applying the discount code to get the correct final pricing.

      It's on the table having a higher-end build with a 4080.

      Fixed that one up, cheers!

  • For the 4070 TI what is the cpu to avoid bottleneck in gamming?
