ASUS ROG Falchion RGB Compact Wireless Mech Keyboard MX Red $99 + Delivery @ PC Case Gear
Delivery kinda kills it but if you want Red I don't know if you will find a better price.

    • Cheers, bought this one. Have been trying to find the reds on sale and this is the cheapest I have seen.

    Horrible switch

I love my Cherry MX Blues. Clickity Clack.

I recommend trying Kailh Box Navy/Jade, a lot better

        Blues FtW!

  • Blues are a very heavy switch!

Eh, not particularly. They're the same actuation force as MX Blacks, but they have the same bottom-out as Reds and Browns.

Red: actuate 45g, bottom out 60g
Brown: actuate 55g, bottom out 60g
Blue: actuate 60g, bottom out 60g
Black: actuate 60, bottom out 80g

I personally much prefer heavy switches, anyway.

Have this is the red linear switches.
Unless you love the click click of the blue switches and live alone I would recommend red or brown.

Only thing i dislike about this keyboard is the del and insert buttons should be switched over.

Software, feel, lighting, case, battery life etc are all great.

    • Only thing i dislike about this keyboard is the del and insert buttons should be switched over.

Del and Ins are actually exactly where they are on a standard 108 or TKL keyboard, so it's the normal layout. But with any good driver, you should be able to change them to wherever you prefer :)

      • I should have been clearer. The del and insert keys are slightly differnt size so you can't swap them over and reprogram them.

        Just a preference thing.

        • You can reprogram them, they just won't match the legend. But that's par for the course if rebinding to non-standard layout. (I personally have a bunch of stuff moved, I just don't look)

However, if it's muscle memory enough to be a problem, I imagine you're not looking at the keys. :)

Bought the Cherry Red version from PCCG and was delivered today. For the price (on sale), I think it’s excellent, especially if you already use Armory Crate with other ROG products.
There is a little pinging from this board but overall good quality.

  • Those right function buttons (enter, shift, esc) look absolutely munted. Way too short.

    • Well spotted. They're all about 0.25u shorter than normal, even for a 65%. And the spacebar is super short too.

Ever using aftermarket keycaps is out of the question, then.

  • I used to LOVE cherry mx blue switches when i upgraded my keyboard years ago. Now i have brown switch and can't go back to blue. The dull thud of a brown switch is much more a pleasure to use imho.
https://www.centrecom.com.au/asus-rog-strix-scope-nx-tkl-bro… is what i'm currently using.

  • Shame it lacks bluetooth

  • Be warned if you lose or break the USB dongle. Asus advised it's not sold separately.

    • I will try to see if the other Rog dongles work together tomorrow. I use a Keris wireless with silent switches and curious if they can both work like logi unify gear.
