  • There's a Samsung G30A (24" 144Hz VA though) on clearance for $227 @ OW atm.

    • I would recommend the Gigabyte G24F-2 or the AOC 24G2SP instead

    • Run very far from this monitor, as it's nothing like the G6/G7/G8/G9 lineup.

Extremely good value in the current market, just be aware of the caveats of IPS and 240Hz IPS: panel glow (dark scenes/dark mode), and powdered trailing (less favourable than OLED, TN, and fast VA for gaming).

While this isn't top of the charts any more for 240Hz IPS, it's still solid.

    • I play really high level competitive games such as csgo, valorant and apex. You seem really knowledgeably on this monitor, Do you think this is a good monitor for mainly csgo? How would it compare to a benq 240hz 24”?

Any better recommendations but at this price there’s nothing even close right?

Not right now no given how little stock is maintained for good value FHD 240Hz TN in AU.

At the price of the BenQ, you can move to QHD 240Hz - with change if it's on sale - eg. Samsung G6.

Thanks for all the help upvotes to everyone. Bought this monitor and just before I bought it, it was further discounted to $270 and I got it for $250 using a student code! I don’t need any of the other suggestions mainly because I plan on not using any of the blur reduction features of the more expensive monitors and without it the ghosting and blur is pretty much identical across all of them…!

Hopefully no brightness or eye strain issues as I’ve never used IPS… so thanks again! @povogamer you can update the posts price if you’d like

@freshboat: G6 would still be notably clearer motion, but yes it is more than twice the price at that point.

This post has configuration settings and an ICC profile so you can tune brightness and colours fairly well, just turn the brightness up a little if you're not using it in dark or dim conditions. Enjoy!

The next best monitor for shooters in 24" range is probably the Viewsonic XG2431 which has great strobing tech for better motion clarity if you're interested in that, but is about $200 more. But as jasswolf said the S2522HG is great value for 240Hz IPS, it might just have lowish contrast ratio from the LG panel used (~850:1)

Here are some UFO shots of the S2522HG as well for reference (not mine):
