Amino Z Whey Protein Isolate 4kg & $50 Credit ($65 Club Z) $149.99, Creatine 1kg $37, 30% off Amino Z Supps + Free Del @ Amino Z

OZB-MIDYEAR

Quick Intro

My deal video: https://youtu.be/dCfuCBwRILA

Once again, thank you for the overwhelming support with our last major deal back in February! After a number of requests for a new deal, we're running a mid-year offer on our brands.

The Deal

Amino Z Whey Protein Isolate 4kg for $149.99 Delivered + $50 back in store credit (Existing and paid Club Z will get $65)

Plus we have some aggressive offers on these other products of ours:

Coupon code: OZB-MIDYEAR (add in shopping cart)

Please note that due to limited stock, this deal will remain active subject to stock availability. Flavours will likely sell out and I will keep this deal updated.

You will get the store credit just so long as you order 4kg of WPI (or more). You can order anything else on top of this and you will still receive the bonus credit amount.

Currently this deal is running until Sunday. This may change based on product availability and we'll update the deal accordingly.

WPI Flavours

We have 17 flavours available to choose from.

Our new releases are Neapolitan Ice Cream and Mint Choc Chip.

All flavours are naturally sweetened. All use thaumatin except for Aussie Choc Malt and Cinnamon Icing (these two use stevia). Please note that some people find the stevia aftertaste unpleasantly bitter, so we'd recommend choosing from other options if you're concerned about this.

We've transitioned over to thaumatin for the fact that it is an all natural plant based sweetener, a superior flavour profile, a neutral insulin impact (as it is a protein) and being very gentle on the gut. A bit of trivia, thaumatin is about 10x the cost of artificial counterparts (eg. sucralose) and more than 5x the cost of stevia w/w!

Also note the Unflavoured option is straight WPI with just sunflower lecithin to assist in mixing and reduce frothing (less than 1%).

Flavour Availability:

This area will be updated as flavours run out.

  • In Stock: Chocolate, Vanilla Creamy, Strawberry, Banana, Chocolate Coconut, Unflavoured, Coconut Ice Cream, Iced Coffee, Creme Caramel, Aussie Choc Malt, Smooth Milk Chocolate, Cinnamon Icing, Chocolate Caramel, Coffs Harbour Choc Banana, Matcha Green Tea Ice Cream, Neapolitan Ice Cream
  • On Backorder (Can be backordered): Mint Choc Chip (ETA June 5 for order dispatch)
  • Sold Out (Cannot be backordered): None

  • is it cheaper to buy 4 kg or 10kg of Amino Z Whey Protein Isolate ? which has best bang for buck? sorry kinda confusing with the discounts and points back and what not …

    • No worries and thanks for asking @khoed792

10kg will be $36.28/kg if you use coupon WPI25, free shipping, but no bonus store credit (you'll get 1% back however as per our standard offer)
4kg under this deal will work out to be $25/kg once you factor in the store credit (or $37.50 before the store credit), free delivery

      I hope this helps!

Thanks Jay. I got some testosterone tablets to support my erectile dysfunction!

    • Thanks for the support @Repstar!

      Jay

  • How good is this protein?
    Does it have fillers?

    • Hi @Johnnyv - we don't put fillers into this protein and make a concerted effort to focus on only key ingredients. Our unflavoured is straight WPI (with sunflower lecithin as an emulsifier). However all the flavoured versions will generally have flavour, natural sweetener and trace amounts of thickener (for mouth feel).

The protein itself is a high quality whey isolate which is added hormone free, ultra and micro filtered and cold pressed.

      I hope this helps.

      Jay

  • Apart from unflavoured, which flavour has the most protein (least fillers) per kg?

    • Banana, followed closely by vanilla. Both are above 86%.

All the nutritional info is available if you click on the "Nutritional Info" tab on the product page (just scroll down a bit to find it).

      I hope this helps.

  • Question from non gym user who wants to include protein daily need with supplements. Been thikning to start the supplement of 20g per day without any workout but to have some protein intake through protein powders. I felt this must be the right thread to get initial feedback. I understand I need get advise from nutritionist but I would love to get some feedback from experts from here to get an idea. Appreciate your inputs.

    • +1

Hi @IDontKnowWhyImHere and thanks for asking!

I agree it's a good idea to speak to a professional who can provide advice.

At a high and general level, if you cannot consume sufficient protein from diet alone, then it can be beneficial to supplement with a protein powder. But in terms of total protein intake and your overall diet, this is when someone like a dietician can advise more accurately as to your specific requirements.

A WPI can be used as a protein substitute in conjunction with a balanced diet. Protein powders can be a convenient and enjoyable source of protein. But at the same time, you may be able to source that protein from food (eg. 20g of protein you can get from around 80g of meat). It can be a lot harder to source protein if you're focussing more on being plant based however.

I know this is all very high level, but I'm not qualified to make any recommendations for your specific dietary requirements, so I hope this is of some use.

      Jay

      • Thanks Jay, appreciate your inputs :)

        • My pleasure.

          Jay

  • Nice to see this deal again! I used to get ON Whey Protein but switched to Amino Z. It's cheaper, tastes good and has more protein.

    • Awesome, thanks for the feedback @TruePursuit and I'm glad you've been happy!

I had issues with the zip lock bag from my purchase in December 2022. The zipper broke off and the bag was shut. I asked the Live Chat at Amino Z if there were any tips with fixing the zip lock bag. They advised that I should use another container to store my protein - which I did. Using an Optimum Nutrition tub to store my remaining Amino Z protein. Poor customer service imo and poor product

    • +3

What do you want them to do? Send you an empty bag? lmao

    • +2

Thanks for raising this @Piquant and bringing this to my attention. Are you able to send over your order number so I can take a look into this?

I'll also have Vanessa look further into this matter (she is our head of customer service). I agree with you, this is a very poor customer experience if the pouch mechanism was faulty and we should have instead sent out a replacement pouch to you.

I'm happy to ensure we make arrangements if you're able to send over the details now.

      Thanks in advance.

      Jay

    • Ya Similar thing happened with my PWO. it was a pain to open when the zipper is closed and the zip comes out. I cant risk with my PWO as I use is sparingly and it will cake up if not sealed properly. Had to use a knife to open, but was able to put the zipper back after.

PS: I still put the aminoZ bag inside another zip lock and it still cakes up. Universal problem with all PWO I guess.

      • +4

On that note, we are looking for a better option here. We have sourced a number of samples and are working with our manufacturer so the enclosure is better. We are still using the current zipper pouches that we released recently which can be a bit of a pain, but we are looking to improve these as a top priority.

One thing we're looking to eliminate is the need to use a knife to open the inner membrane, and possibly moving away from the external zipper. But we haven't yet confirmed 100% which direction we'll move in (any feedback is welcome).

Also @John Doh if the pre workout was caking up, feel free to contact us, we can sort out a replacement.

        Jay

        • +3

All PWO will cake up. Not just AminoZ. I dont want a replacement for that. But what I noticed was there were clumps in the Pre-workout. These were not caked up clumps, but the chemicals were not mixed together when mixing, and one of those chemicals had caked up. Like there were 5 to 6. 1.5 cm diameter clumps in a freshly opened packet. I thought I will return, but didnt, thats part of being lazy lol. All good otherwise. Still one of the best PWO IMO.

          • +1

@[Deactivated]: Oh ok no worries then. I'll pass this over to our team as feedback nonetheless. Thanks for that!

            Jay

            • @aminozcomau: You MOST definitely should. If someone is taking a scoop of this pre and if the scoop contains a ball of this un-mixed ingredient and if the person overdoses on that - like say instead of getting 350mg of caffine, if he gets a 2 to 3g clump of caffiene, you know very well he might end up in an ER.

All the chemicals in PWO should be mixed properly. It should be a priority.

              • +2

@[Deactivated]: Yes good point, but do note that the blending will be fine. It's more because there are a couple of hydrophilic ingredients in the pre-workouts that attract water causing some clumping after the blending is done. That's why you'll typically get clumps in the pre workout. So it should still be evenly disbursed.

                Jay

                • @aminozcomau: Cool, Thought so. Thanks for clarifying.

                  • +1

@[Deactivated]: No worries. But nonetheless worth us taking a further look into this to further improve the product. Clumping is a poor product experience.

Just as an aside, we did discover that if you put a clumped pre workout into the freezer, it's very easy to break back up into a powder. You just need to continue storing it in the freezer to avoid re-clumping. That's a tip one of our team members discovered a while ago.

                    Jay

                    • @aminozcomau: Will give it a try :) Thanks.

        • +3

+1 on the pouches are mildly annoying but a necessary evil. I’ve had clips break, bags not sealing properly, and also a dumb moment when I cut through the whole bag while trying to cut open the inner membrane. lol.

          • +2

@SlappersOnly: Yeah that's a major issue I'm aware of, in fact it happened to me too. We have found a solution to this and are looking at our options still before we pull the trigger. Hopefully will have a better soltution in place later this year. Thanks for that feedback.

Update: revoked the negative vote. Jay and Vanessa providing great customer service. Thanks.

      • +1

Very kind of you despite that poor experience.

I'm in communication with Vanessa on this one, it's a good learning experience for our team. Thank you for raising this to me, very helpful. I'm sorry again for that experience you had with us.

        Jay

    • @Piquant just letting you know that Vanessa has investigated this and has shared all the details with me. I agree our team did not handle this matter appropriately and further training is currently being undertaken by Vanessa, using this as a very specific case study.

Sorry again for the experience and thank you for raising this issue. We'll be taking a good lesson away from this. I also trust that Vanessa has properly looked after you, but please let me know if you experience any further issues.

      Jay

      • Thanks for investigating and reporting back, Jay. Taking the time and reviewing the logs shows that Amino Z is very willing to learn and grow from past experiences. Both you and Vanessa have been fantastic! Thanks again

  • Is this WPI okay to take if I'm lactose intolerant? Having to take a lactase supplement every time can get quite annoying…

    • It does contain about 1.2% lactose and it isn't completely lactose free I'm afraid. So if you're intolerant it may be best to avoid this one and perhaps consider one of our lactose free options. We have two plant based options available which are 30% off under this deal with free shipping.

For those who want to chug it down and is not really a strong flavour type of person, I recommend milk chocolate + water. I don't really like drinking protein and this is the flavour that I can drink easily.

Will protein prices go back to normal anytime soon?

I still have lots left from previous orders so will sit this one out. Highly recommend the smooth choc flavour, delicious with milk

    • Hi @johnnytran-

Currently, this deal is running until Sunday. This may change based on product availability and we'll also update the deal accordingly.

You may place an order and request to have it placed on hold. Just put any requests in the comment section box or PM me with your order number so I can action the request/etc.

      Thank you!

  • Just wondering if the 5kg WPI still gets a $50 credit or any equivalent discount? i.e. $150 for the 4kg, would 5kg be say 5/4 x $150 = $187.50? No biggie if not, and if no $50 credit - just wanted to get 4 flavours but then also torn between g etting the 'unflavoured' to see what it tasted like. Is it very neutral? So the only way I could cut one of the 4 flavours was to buy a 5kg haha.

First time with t he protein: have vanilla, match, ice coffee and smooth milk chocolate down. Any recommendations? Trying to get some easy drinking flavours for the masses so i don't end up with something a bit too funky for me given i've never tried Amino z or any flavoured WPI.

    • Thanks for asking @SaberX

You can go ahead with a 5kg option, but in order to do so, please order 5x 1kg versions. So just select the 1kg size and add into your cart each of the 5 flavours you'd prefer.

You can then go ahead and apply the coupon, so you'll get the same unit price as you've identified above. It just won't work if you select the 5kg size.

You'll also get the $50 credit if you go about it this way.

In terms of the unflavoured, it's relatively neutral, but it does have a slight milky and protein like taste to it. In terms of easy drinking for another flavour, choc coconut is a safe bet if you like coconut, but otherwise strawberry or banana are quite popular secondary flavours.

      I hope this helps.

      Jay

      • Thanks Jay, not a coconut fan to be honest. In terms of the chocolate, is the normal chocolate vs smooth milk chocolate - is the former a very rich style of chocolate? I'm thinking of that real rich, sometimes overpowering hot chocolate you get from san churros that gets a bit hard to stomach after awhile haha. Just tossing up between which is not t oo sweet or overpowering and just tastes like your good old chocolate milkshake? Anyy recommendations?

Also I saw there is a sample satchel, does it not come in the unflavoured option? Only flavours?

        • The chocolate one is more that richer chocolate and yes, somewhat like a hot chocolate but probably not quite as rich. The smooth milk is a bit more subtle of a chocolate flavour. I don't know if that helps?

Also yep, the unflavoured version we don't have in sample sachets, only some of the flavours presently. We're working on expanding the range though.

          Jay

  • This deal was good enough to lure in my first order since….. checks account…..2016. lol. Thanks for the deal Jay, looking forward to seeing the advancements in protein powder since then :-P

    • Oh wow, 2016! Thanks again for the order. We've made just a few changes in the flavours since then…I'd hate to think what those old flavours tasted like, we had a few nasties when we first started!

      Jay

  • Ordered in February and still have a bag left. Great promo timing just jumped on and ordered another 4kg's. Liking the flavours thus far, trying Aussie Choc Malt and Smooth Milk Chocolate this time! Good job guys

    • what flavours have you tried so far that you thought were good?

      • Personally, Choc coconut, strawberry, vanilla I liked.

        • thanks!

    • Awesome, thanks again for the order @ArtlessArt!

      Jay

  • Bummed I don't even have the cash to go in on this one

  • Alright - pulled the trigger and got my first purchase off the site. Here goes nothing!

Sorry a bit new to this but when i completed my purchase it allowed my z points by creating an account at the time. However, is it my understanding those z points can't be used for future purchases until i join the paid z club??

Similarly how do i access the $50 credit back in the future, is this available to me if i wish to purchase products but not pay for the z club membership?? Do you mind explaining? Is the $50 credit a gift card or some non z points amount, to be used for future purchases?

    • Thanks for asking and thanks for the order.

No, you don't need a paid membership for Z points. Club Z is just a separate membership.

Within 10 days of your order shipping you will get the $50 back as Z Points. Then next order you can apply these as a discount to that order at checkout. All you need to do is log into your account next order.

I hope this clarifies and thanks again!

Hi Jay. Just a quick question. I love the taste of your WPI and variety, but can you please tell me why i cant put your protein powder through a funnel and into my water bottle? It sticks together like flour.

    • Hi Rocketfuel- thank you for your feedback here.

It’s just the nature of the protein, however, I have forwarded this to our Product development team so we can look into improving this feature of our product in the future, for sure :)

But if there are any issues, please feel free to PM me with your order details and I'm more than happy to assist.

      Thank you!

      • Vanessa
    • +1

Could you use a metal canning funnel? One with a wide mouth > Stainless Steel Canning Funnel - amazon link A plastic one would be less smooth and maybe the powder gets caught on it easier??

Also curious why you use a water bottle and don't use a shaker?

      • Only benefit I can see with water bottles is as a single use item. Would be harder to clean, harder to put powder in and likely poorer mix without the shaker ball.

      • Shakers stink after a while and a water bottle is more convenient for me. Don't get me wrong i love the product but just wished it would be easier to funnel.

        • I've had mine for 6 years and never been an issue.

I typically take my WPC/WPI after a session. Powder already in shaker (Dumped in with scoop before leaving home….easy), add water when done. Then consume on way home. Add a little water after finishing to "rinse" out and get the last of the protein…..if there's no residual powder caked on the bottom, one last rinse, then place on dish strainer. If it does look a little manky, then just wash it.

Still can't wrap my head around how a water bottle would be more convenient but whatever works for you….get at it!! yeeewwww
Though I'm interested….what type of water bottle are you referring to? A drink bottle like why cyclists and footy players use or a evian water/coca-cola type plastic bottle?

Have you tried a metal funnel?

Anyway hopefully get my order soon and can try myself.

          • @PleasureMachine: Basically the water is drunk at work & before i throw the bottle out i would funnel my protein mix through. Just a standard 500ml water bottle like your coles and woolies ones. It makes sense at the gym but when you're at work its different. Other protein powders go down fine with out a problem.

  • Oh damn just ordered 4x1kg WPI on Sunday 😭😭

    • Hi @Ueki23- thanks for ordering! Please feel free to PM me with your order details and I'd be happy to assist :)

  • Ordered the previous night (before the deal went live) and they retrospectively added the credit! The customer service is amazing as always!

I'm going to do another order- cause I hand out so many shakes to visitors but choc peanut butter is missing. Any chance of getting some on backorder?

    • Thanks again chriaj2689!

Unfortunately, we had to discontinue the Choc Peanut butter flavour for now due to challenges in sourcing the ingredients.
It cannot be back ordered but hopefully in the future :)

      • Vanessa
  • Jay I really liked the clearance Bandito Labs Choc milkshake flavour (usually don't like choc flavours). Is there something similar to that in the WPI?

    • Hi @knobbs there is nothing exactly the same, probably the closest would be the smooth milk choc. It is a very different flavour profile though, so if you don't generally like choc I'd avoid it (or try getting a sample perhaps, we have them here

  • Protein shake amateur here - whats a good protein shake to help with post workout recovery without bulking? Looking to lose fat and weight here

Wpi is suitable for post workout, it is probably the best given the low fat and fast absorption time. Generally it is best for after a high intensity workout where you need faster nutrient intake to help facilitate recovery.

The bulking component will come more from a calorie surplus and your training style, ie. If you are lifting weights with a focus on hypertrophy.

      I hope this helps!

Hey guys, I'm an overweight fellow (120kg/185cm) who has just joined a gym and am on a health kick. Hoping to slim down to 90 over the next year or 2.

I'm planning to intermittent fast and replace my first meal with a protein shake and some nuts.

I tried to use Mushahi shred and burn, but the sweetener taste was just awful.

Is anyone able to recommend any of these products to me? Will likely just stick with a standard chocolate flavour if possible

    TIA

Can't really recommend any products, but here to send some support and hope you enjoy getting into it. Getting to the gym is a great step and one of the hardest.

I'll just add, dieting and losing weight is mainly about your calorie difference so obviously how active you are (energy out) vs the difference in your calorie intake (energy in) primarily being the food. (rocket science I know).

So take a good honest look at what you're eating and don't cheat yourself by having more just because you've done a workout….I'm super guilty of this. Best thing is to not have those naughty things easily accessible at home in the cupboard. I'm a sucker for ice cream and choc so rarely have that around.

If meal replacement shakes work and are convenient then have at it…..I would suggest though, if you want the shakes, make smoothies (add some protein powders, with whatever supplements and powders you want) but importantly add natural fruits, veggies, natural yoghurts, seeds, nuts to your liking.

I discovered this website just yesterday https://www.eatthismuch.com/ and gave me some great ideas. Inspired me add spinach to scrambled eggs for extra nutrients.

I know it's easier said than done, but just eat naturally with loads of veggies and fruits with lean proteins (and lay off the sweet snacks) you're giving yourself the best chance to reach your goals.

    • I'll second the feedback from @PleasureMachine.

Generally speaking, supplements should be more of a secondary focus after a balanced diet. But yes, caloric deficit is the key.

Many techniques around this. Another one worth noting could be subtle portion reductions. But of course, ensuring the foods you eat are generally whole and nutrient dense will be a big benefit for overall health.

Then again, there are many ways to lose weight, it was be overwhelming when you look at all the techniques out there. You'll need to find out what's right for you.

Good luck. It’s all about the food. A meal replacement shake isn’t going to magically make you lose weight if you eat more to compensate for only having a shake in the morning.

The only real benefit of protein powder is it’s a tasty way of getting a high amount of protein for low calories.
